Considering that you have to pay to return items, it's somewhat irritating that I had to email multiple times to get my refund 6 weeks after I posted the item. On my first email, I provided my order number, my returns reference, confirmed that I had my evri receipt, and confirmed that the evri showed that the parcel had been delivered. I'm not sure why I was asked to confirm which items I had returned, and then confirm sizes: the returns portal is online, surely Dorothy Perkins has access to this (and also will have accepted my returns parcel confirming the items)? Having provided all of these details, I then had to chase again as my email was not answered for another 5 days. This is not consumer friendly in the slightest and the customer should not have to take on the mental burden of chasing for a return. Many people might not notice that their refund is missing, or may not have the ability to follow up in this manner. I have given a 2 star because I did eventually get my refund, however I'm not convinced that I would have received it if I hadn't pushed; as it was, it still took 6 weeks to receive it. I see I have received a reply: clearly my original review has not been read. I allowed far more than 15 days for a refund, and in fact I waited 6 weeks.

Another month and another customer service problem I recently bought a maxi dress. It was delivered quickly but needed to be returned for a different size.A replacement was ordered which also arrived quickly. Returning the original item via the DP returns portal should have been straightforward but no carrier options were shown as available and it took a week of exchanging emails with a number of staff to identify the reason for this: my listed UK mobile number was rejected by the system because it lacked an international dialling code ! I don't think many UK customers with UK registered mobile number would expect that this information would be necessary. Can anyone explain the reason behind this? Delivering my orders has never been a problem and before DP became part of the Debenhams group of brands, returns were always problem free. This is not the case now.

My feedback is regarding a return and refund, item arrived was not the correct fit, returns process was simple to follow online, thanks to Jenny from customer services who processed the refund and kept me informed throughout the process.

I have ordered clothes twice from Dorothy Perkins you are supposed to get an email to say they have recived your returns if you send things back,i sent both orders back and i have had to chase up the returns,Dorothy perkins are very hard to contact if you have a phone as the app is set up to read on a tablet or computer,im not on messanger or facebook so have to email when they do back to you it takes ages,i also had to tell them what i had sent back to recieve a refund,you would think bye suppling your order no they would no what you had sent back its a lot of work on the customers side.Such a big company the returns process is difficult and the app is rubbish as it says to be refunded on both times but i have had to chase both orders,im still wating on my second orders refund
