Dell UK Refurbished Computers Tracking Order Status

I bought a grade A Optiplex 3060 desktop PC. I got a decent price for what it spec'd out for. But the condition was not grade A in my opinion. Found out after several bios errors that the CMOS battery on motherboard was completely dead. SSD had lots of hours on it, interior was not well cleaned had dust film on vents and looked like just a quick air can spray cleaning. OS was a older version of Win 10 so took a long time to get through updates. Personally, I would not recommend over just buying a Dell outlet model which will cost more but get a decent one year warranty instead of 100 days. Many of the off lease models seem rather worn out and poorly reconditioned.

Initially looked good as a A grade but found out its almost 4 years old, fingerprint sensor didnt work and battery lasted about 90 mins from full to flat. Not worth the full price and not worth the 250 refurb price so back it goes. I wont bother with customer service as others have said you are wasting your time.

I was recently injured and find myself working from home more often and unable to sit for long at my usual workstation until I heal. The laptop I had looked great, but was slow and made working three times as hard. I was looking for a replacement with the processing speed and reliability, but without the massive price tag and someone suggested looking at Dell laptops as they used them in their own workplace. I found Dell Refurbished as I was definately looking for a pre-used machine to acheive the price point I wanted to spend. I wanted something with a proven name behind it that I hope will still give me 2-3 years of service if possible. Although I spent slightly more than I planned, I did so because the laptop's are really holding their money at the moment so everywhere you look, nothing is 'cheap' as such. I found a Dell Precision, with 32 GB of RAM, 500 GB of memory, a super quick processor and good quality graphics card. The price was fair in comparison other companies I was considering, but the reviews on Dell Refurbished weren't that great so I nearly didn't buy. However, the spec was really good and I knew I'd get a 14 day return window, so felt I had nothing to lose. The laptop was ordered Thursday and delivered on Monday by DHL. My IT guy set it up for me and I'm flying. Its a beautiful machine and after struggling along with a relatively new HP, I can't fault this one at all. The Dell has real substance with a great display, a fantastic keyboard and the graphics and response rate are just brilliant. I've used the webcam which also has a small privacy cover to protect you when you're not online. I like that little touch. I'm really glad that I went for it and know its going to last me a fair while. It's fast and can manage multiple programmes running at the same time. It's not buffering or slowing me down and I'm getting through my work more quickly. I'm a very happy bunny and would recommend Dell Refurbished without hesitation.

Very poor, Customer service are slow and unresponsive at the best of times. Computer arrived with deep scratches and was told that this was normal.

Dell Refurbished Laptops. Most are unable to be updated with the latest updates to Windows 10. My refurbished laptop arrived promptly and was A grade as stated.. However, the laptop was unable to be upgraded to the latest updates in Windows 10 which includes security issues.. (Nov 2020) Customer Services were dreadful.. Note part of their response by email. Thank you for your call this morning and your patience, Following the responsible team feedback, I want to inform you that any similar model replacement unit will more than likely face the same issues in terms of OS updates and the time it takes. There you are then, proof from Dell they are simply not fit for purpose.. Their response to help was non-existent I would not recommend you consider a Dell Refurbished Laptop !
