Daedalus Books and Music Tracking Order Status

UPDATE: The missing items arrived today, completely unexpected as there was ZERO communication from the company. The box was so sloppily held together (one side of the box was missing and was simply multiple layers of clear shipping tape), that I feared the books would be damaged, but luckily that was not the case. Way too stressful of experience to ever consider shopping with them again. ORIGINAL POST: I gave this company a second chance, hoping above hope they had gotten their act together, but I was wrong. I placed an order DEC 21st. It arrived a week later, but only half the items I ordered were in the box. The rest of the box was filled with someone else's order. I called, and they said they would send me the missing items. They provided me with a new order number. I never received any emails about the new order. I called several times over the next few days and was given a different story every time. I'll not go into further details, as it will just infuriate me further. Suffice it to say that they just make things up. Dadedalusbooks used to be a top-quality company. I ordered dozens of books from them over the years, going way way back to the 90s. I think they have a great concept, but it is so poorly executed from top to bottom at this point, that they might as well throw up their hands in surrender. I know I am.

The worst customer service experience ever. Not only did it take one full week to fill the order, but when they did, it was lost in Fedex hell. The items have been sitting in a warehouse, possibly in Chicago for a week now. The Daedalus agents on the phone, in chat, and by email, all had different stories. The only thing they shared in common was a lackadaisical attitude and an unwillingness to help. I have requested a refund, but sincerely doubt I will get it The great prices are just not worth the aggravation. Stay away. Stay very far away.
