The Cotswold Company Tracking Order Status

My wife has always loved the look of Cotswold Company furniture so we decided to get a few pieces for our new home. We chose the Chester Dove Grey set as it matched our kitchen colours. We also purchased a couple of items from their Oakland Rustic Oak range as well. We had to wait around 2 months for our items to be delivered as the top half of the dresser wasn't in stock. The furniture was finally delivered and the delivery guys kindly put each item in the rooms they were to be used it. I noticed almost immediately the strong chemical smell given off by the painted items. It is really strong and noticeable around the house. After the welsh dresser had been assembled I had a closer look at it. There were some build quality issues which Cotswold Company have since sorted so I won't go further with that. I will say though that I wasn't aware the painted furniture would be made of MDF/composite material and what looks like a nice solid piece of oak in the online photos, is in fact four pieces of thicker Oak glued/attached to a much thinner piece in the center. The top of the dresser top seems even worse as that has a large divot on the top which I should imagine will make it awkward to clean. The Rustic Oak items are the same with thinner pieces of oak used in the middle thicker outer pieces. Whilst the furniture looks good from a distance, on closer inspection, it shows itself to be "all smoke and mirrors" My wife commented on it, saying, she liked it as she thought it appeared to be quality furniture and so excused the price for items. But feels now she knows it's made, on the most part, of MDF/composite material she perhaps wouldn't want any more of it as she could buy pre assemble MDF furniture a lot cheaper else where.
