Christmas Lights Etc Tracking Order Status

Add my voice to the chorus confirming the TERRIBLE customer service! Ordered a string of lights for Christmas decorating. After I tried them out, I liked them so much that I decided to order another string to add to what I had. Completely dismayed when I got the second string and they weren't the same color as the first (think orangey-red instead of a true red). So, even though it was technically the same item, the color didn't match the first string, so couldn't be used with it or even for Christmas decorating in general (unless you like orange lights for Christmas). This was a quality control/product consistency issue on the part of Christmas Lights Etc., not a "I just don't like it" issue. Contacted customer service thinking if this was truly the mom-n-pop shop they present themselves to be, they might check their stock to see if they had some lights that were the right color. But no--they said I got the correct product and basically it was too bad if the color wasn't what I expected (based on buying the EXACT SAME product previously). They did say I could return it for a refund, and I said if I could get a shipping label (meaning a FREE shipping label because the product consistency issue was THEIR fault), that yes, I would (with disappointment) return them for a refund. Absolutely NO mention from them of a charge for returns. And I wouldn't expect to be charged return shipping. No reputable company charges for return shipping when a product is incorrect/defective! Shipping label was sent to me, and I checked the email and the instructions with the shipping label to make sure I didn't have to pay anything. Nothing. No direction to "please review our return shipping policies." Nada. Shipped the lights back and awaited my refund. Well, imagine my surprise when my refund was $10 less than what I paid! They had charged me without any mention of it for the shipping. And this was after charging me a whopping THIRTEEN dollars in shipping to get the item in the first place, which only weighed about half a pound and was smaller than half a standard shoe box! When I called to ask about it, the rep was immediately on the defensive, saying,"YOU WERE TOLD ABOUT THIS CHARGE WHEN YOU GOT THE SHIPPING LABEL!" Lie! She was a real piece of work, by the way, immediately defensive and rude, and when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the company and NOT being told about the shipping charge, she started telling me that she was just customer service and this didn't have anything to do with her. WHAT?? Don't you represent the company?? In a follow up email, all I got was "The return shipping policy is on our website." Well, that doesn't help if nobody ever mentions that there is a policy! Awful, AWFUL people who are just trying to rip you off. I will NEVER buy anything from them again. BUYER BEWARE!

the wrong product was sent, I sent it back and then received an email saying my refund would hit my account in 3 to 5 days. been 2 weeks and still no funds, I thought this was a good company, so I reordered the right product, paid for it and received it. but they haven't followed through on the refund, and now are ignoring my emails. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

Just received all of my order, complete and timely. Put all the snowflakes together and plugged them in all working as expected. Now I pray they will last for years for us.

I don’t like the fact that it says my lights were made in Cambodia. Poor quality

Shelled out $358.28 (before tax) for 12 strands and 4 "fairy" lights. Images of so-called "warm white" lights were gorgeous online but NOTHING in common with the real thing. Both styles threw off gigantic casts: 7' tree would normally require one dozen strands; these would have literally lit my house. While the quality of the light strand looked decent, the plastic bags with a non-branded fold-over piece closed with two random staples had an unsettling homemade feel at this price point. The so-called fairy lights -- another bankroll burner -- were well-constructed but also misrepresented. There's nothing warm or golden about their lights; best suited for outdoor or commercial venues. After a few rounds of phone tag I was finally told accounting lost track of my return. AMEX was dinged within nanoseconds of purchase although shipping lagged. The threat of hefty restocking fees subject to their discretion loomed in the background; after justifying my position I was thankful to ultimately pay $10 for my wasted time & aggravation. There's only so much you can blame on a pandemic -- which they were big on doing. Thankfully Amazon came through for me at the last minute.
