I bought my editing PC from Chillblast, last year. The PC was delivered within the estimated time and that was despite the considerable shortages worldwide in component parts. I have always built my own PCs in the past and was very impressed by the build quality of the PC. I made an initial phone call to the technical support line and the person I spoke to was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, emailing me detailed information. Almost a year later I made another call to the technical support line and yet again the help I was given was first class. I an excellent PC backed up by good technical support.

Order placed 22nd Feb (2 PCs, almost £4.5k in total), arrived 8th March. Flimsy outer boxes and clear damage to both Noctua coolers - one was worse than the other with motherboard damage also sustained and it was eventually collected on 20th March for repair. The other unit worked, although with some deformity to the cooler still noted and non-functional power/drive activity LED. After being away for repair for a month the first unit was returned with a new cooler, however the fans don't spin down in the same way as the second unit, making them much noisier. To wait two months from ordering to finally have two functional PCs that still have outstanding issues is very poor. Last contact from customer service was two weeks ago when I was promised a reply by the following day... Overall not impressed with level of comms or the quality of the original packaging.

Chillblast is 10/10 ordered pc 9 days ago and it arrived yesterday from dpd, great custom pc was built for me and its great and the communication from chillblast team via email or phone call was excellent. Would Definitely buy another pc or product from them :)

I ordered a custom build PC from Chillblast on Tuesday 28th March, my PC arrived on Friday 21st April. Once I ordered my PC (through the financing option with Novuna) I paid my deposit and received a confirmation email from Chillblast, which indicated that my PC was waiting building and comprehensive testing, and subject to successful testing and stock availability my PC would ship within 2 weeks. I also received my credit agreement from Novuna, but no confirmation of when my first payment would be, a date of a direct debit etc etc. Less than 2 days later, I received an email advising they had amended my order and replaced the RAM with another brand. No explanation as to why. 1 week later, I had received no further communication and when I logged into the website I could not see (and thus track) my order on the Chillblast website. I emailed customer service and I received another email stating that now the Cooler was unavailable and they had changed the item with another. This was a tiny upgrade, so no worries. I replied asking why I couldn’t track my order on their website – this question was ignored. I asked when I would hear from Novuna and was told that was between myself and Novuna. I asked when I could expect my PC to be dispatched and was told I would get an email when it was. After 2 weeks, I emailed them again, and again, and again for four days in a row – I received no communication and no reply from any emails. Then, out of the blue, I received another email – not in response to mine – to advise me that the motherboard was unavailable and they had downgraded the order (but did provide a £40 odd refund). No other information was provided. I finally did get an email after 3 weeks, advising they had been waiting for my case to come in (this was the standard Chillblast default case btw) and that had led to the delay. My PC finally arrived 3 weeks and 4 days after purchase. However, while I was setting up my new PC, I started getting random restarts. For 48 hours, over the weekend I scoured the internet to resolve the issue – finally resorting to using Chat-GPT to figure out that there is a known issue with the AMD 5000 series and that changing two settings in the BIOS, while loosing some performance, will stabalise the system. This has worked and I now have a working PC. To anyone waiting to purchase a PC from Chillblast – DO NOT. Avoid this company. I chose them over PC specialist because of the price, and that I couldn’t be bothered to source all the parts from multiple websites/companies and I guess you get what you pay for. The PC is very well built, cable management is perfect, however, they clearly did not test the system before it was shipped as that would’ve caught the issue with the CPU. Even the versions of the bios and chipsets were all dated from last year and I would’ve thought that a company that builds PCs would – at the very least – not ship a customer build with out-of-date firmware. The customer service is non-existent, goodness knows how long I would’ve had to wait for a working PC if I wasn’t tech savvy enough to resolve the issue. The build I ended with was not the one I initially chose, and while I understand the nature of parts being out of stock etc, a simple email with options or simply an explanation would be better than a simple “We’ve amended your order” email. I was initially going to rate 3 stars, taking 2 stars off for the communication (or lack of) and the delay – or again, lack of communication regarding the delays or amended parts. However, I have to take another star from them for simply not testing the system. I expected better for £2000.

I have ordered from Chillblast in the past, and their build quality and service are what made me do so again. I ordered the PC build on the 4th April and the PC was delivered on the 18th (it was a custom build, so I actually expected to have to wait longer). The PC was delivered in perfect condition, although the exterior packaging had taken some minor damage thankfully the contents were fine. It has exceeded my expectations performance-wise and looks spectacular too. I did have some minor issues - I specified the PC to be supplied ready-wired for me to connect some additional drives that I was bringing across from my old PC, but on opening the back of the case could not access the drive-bays due to the chassis of the case being in the way, and I could see no way to get to the drive-housing as a result. I called the Chillblast team and spoke with Josh on their helpline, who was brilliant. We worked out where the screws were that I needed to undo to access the drive bays, and with supplied photos I was able to make the adjustments within an hour. Josh was brilliant and a credit to Chillblast, friendly and knowledgeable. Not only did he help me resolve the problem, but made a note about the chassis to ensure no other customers experience the same problem in the future, apologised for the inconvenience and gave me a small refund of cost for my having experienced it. This is customer service as it should be and many other companies could learn a thing or two from it. In short, I bought from Chillblast knowing that I would get an excellent build and service, and once again they did not disappoint. No stars docked for what was a minor inconvenience, top marks.
