Burrow Tracking Order Status

Good price, smart looks and design. Modular construction and packaging made delivery convenient for 2nd home. Assembly not difficult and solid. BUT I would not buy again and not recommend because NOT comfortable to sit on. The cushions are plasticky and do not give and the back cushions keep slipping right off the couch. Worst of all you can not sit on the couch without sliding forward. Back cushions too short for comfort, bottom cushions too long: bad ergonomics.

We have three children aged 11 and younger and two dogs, including a husky. Bought the Nomad 6 seat modular sectional sofa 6 months ago at the time of this review. The modular design is a neat idea and would be perfect for someone who lives in an apartment or anyone who has to move. Each seat comes apart and is attached firmly. It's not as easy as it looks to assemble and disassemble though. The couch looks fabulous, a nice MCM design in the navy blue color we got. Some have complained it looks cheap, but I wouldn't say that. It does smack of waiting room office furniture, but seems well constructed and sturdy. No scratches or tears from our dogs and children so far. Liquids clean up with the greatest of ease. It does indeed seem fairly scratch and stain resistant. Worst complaint I have from this couch is that is is a fur magnet. Without exaggerating, I can't say I've experienced any fabric that locks onto and holds fur like this Burrow fabric. It weaves itself into the fabric. We have to spend at least 30 minutes vacuuming and lint rolling this couch every day. Even if you religiously de-shed your dogs, it looks hair covered 99% of the time. This is a particularly bad feature since Burrow heavily markets towards pet owners. I was aware of reviews warning against this before buying, but I didn't conceptualize just how bad it is. I don't think I would've bought it knowing how much hair it attracts. Is this worth $3000? Probably not, but time will tell. If it were less than $2000, then it would be a good buy. The fur magnet nature of the fabric will probably keep me from buying another though.

Burrow doesn't provide any options to leave a review on their website, so I am leaving one here. (Not sure where all the reviews on their website come from, but I wouldn't trust them!) Overall, I would say the Burrow Nomad sofa is okay, with some pros and cons. While it is convenient and looks nice, it also cheaply made and does not quite feel worth the price tag. I will go with a different sofa next time I'm in the market for one. PROS -Arrived very quickly, within three days (!!) of ordering -I love the look. The silhouette is nice, very mid-century modern. -Because I live in a small apartment, I wanted a sofa I could take apart and move up and down narrow stairways if needed. I think it mostly fulfills that promise. I can even carry the individual pieces myself. -The sleep kit I ordered with the sofa is comfy and practical for hosting overnight guests. CONS - It took another person and me about an hour to put the whole sofa together, but the assembly was more difficult than promised. This was largely because the holes in some of the metal braces were too small for the screws. Rather than wait for customer service to send me new parts, I decided to widen the holes myself with the help of a screwdriver and hammer. In addition, although the description says you don't need tools to assemble it, you do still need a screwdriver to make sure the screws go in tightly enough; otherwise, the sofa won't be stable. - The sofa cushions are hard. I like a firmer sofa, so it doesn't bother me quite as much as it might other people. But for lounging it does get a bit uncomfortable after a while. Weirdly, even though the seat is hard, the cushions sag if you sit in one place for a while. I've been re-fluffing and smoothing the cushions every time I get up. But I've read some reviews saying that after about a year the sofa looks completely saggy, so I'm worried about that happening. Overall, the materials feel pretty cheaply made. In all, while the sofa looks nice and is convenient for apartment living, I'm not convinced the quality is worth the price I paid. Before buying this sofa, I owned a less expensive IKEA sofa for nearly ten years that was easier to put together, was more comfortable, and did not sag.

My Nomad blue velvet coach was simply stunning. Less than one month out, the chaise cushion started to sag. Burrow replaced it and I was thrilled. Then it happened again. Now less than two years later it looks awful. I am not an oversized person and sofas should last 10 years. I deeply regret this purchase. Burrow won’t let me review on their site so I’m reviewing here.

I got the Nomad Velvet blue couch with a chaise and a rug from Burrow. I love the design and the feel of the couch. I went into one of their showrooms to check it out before ordering online. It shipped within a few days and arrived very quickly. I've been enjoying the setup for sleepovers, lounging, watching movies, and hanging out. The rug adds a nice touch of warmth to the room and blends perfectly with the design. Because I got the chaise, I had an extra couch cushion, which I used hanging off the chaise to make a daybed feel. Later I popped it between the wall and chaise to give a feeling of continuity with the side of the couch. Love that the modular design is so versatile. And definitely looking forward to an easy move when the time comes!
