We have just returned from a fortnight’s holiday in the Buzzy Apartment in Split

All arrangements for the holiday were very efficient and we were expecting a really good vacation. However, we were disappointed with certain aspects of the apartment. • We had booked through budgetplaces.com. The owner said that certain specific things would be available. In fact, there was no hairdryer, no kettle, no toiletries except hand soap, no radio and no clothes rack. • The stove top was totally inadequate, taking 20 minutes or more to bring to the boil a small pan of water. • Consequently we had to boil water in the microwave which was situated at face level on a tall fridge/freezer. This we considered to be a serious safety hazard. • The two bath towels provided were inadequate, one being a thin beach towel. None of the towels were changed during our two weeks stay. • There were only two small, thin single size blankets which didn’t even cover the surface of the bed. • The bathroom plug was broken and to empty the wash basin you had to operate a lever behind the waste pipe in a cupboard under the basin. • There were only 3 hangers in the wardrobe • Cutlery was very basic, kitchen tools comprising one large, blunt knife and a wooden spoon. There was no can opener, bottle opener, peeler, grater, or any of the usual items found in a self-catering apartment • The entrance/terrace was most unwelcoming; the wall opposite the window of the apartment was unpleasant to look at, being dirty and having green slime growing on it. It could not really have been called a terrace – more a passageway which was unpleasant to sit in. • We had no contact with the owners during our stay, apart from a 5 minute welcome on arrival. There were no contact details for emergency services or a doctor and we found this to be quite unsettling as we are both in our seventies, but consider these details would have been important not only to us but to anyone visiting a foreign country. The landlord was away on business throughout our stay. • It would have been helpful to have been provided with information about the local area such as the position of local supermarkets, bus timetables, tourist information leaflets, etc. I have never written a negative review before but feel that it was necessary on this occasion

Reservé dos habitaciones

Reservé dos habitaciones. LLegué al hotel y el sistema les habia cancelado una de las habitaciones. Por suerte tenian libres. A la hora de pagar, no les salia en el sistema que habia pagado ya una parte al hacer la reserva...y me intentaron cobrar todo de nuevo. El sistema de reservas que de budgetplaces no funciona especialmente bien.

Slightly unscrupulous advertising method.

Used website because it advertised high cashback through TCB, but ceased affiliation very quickly afterwards so no claims could be made (by anyone, it appears). Whist I know that cashback can never be guaranteed, and should not be booked on such an assumption, I feel that the way they *advertised *on cashback sites when they started, but removed affiliation too quickly for any claims to be made, was dishonest. It appears that no cashback was ever intended. *This review is not based on non-payment of cashback, but the way they enticed me to purchase from them*. We got the booking, seemed no problem, but we could have made it elsewhere at the same price and definitely had a high chance of cashback since the other sites were long established as being affiliated.

Initially started booking process on line but had a query. I telephoned them and the agent was very helpful. She was able to answer my query and completed the booking for me.
