Budget Car Tracking Order Status

I rented a car for 4days from Vigo , Spain and dropped it off to Madrid, Spain in April 2023. After reading online reviews, I was hesitant about Budget but after my experience I was pleasantly surprised. Upon collection, I did not have to pay a security deposit , only a tank of petrol. The assistant showed and noted all damage before rental so I knew where existing damage was. Upon drop off, we didn’t refill the tank fully but instead left two bars of petrol which unfortunately we lost out on as we had paid for the full tank at the beginning. Overall no issues, everything was clear and no hidden charges.

Picked up dirty, sandy car with bald tires, had no tread left, was flaking off...wasted our day taking it back for a car with decent tires, switched for a new car.... of course the gas tank wasn't totally full!

Indirectly booked with them via Discover Cars and to be fair, the rental price was good for 3 days in Tenerife and all went well up to the point we returned the car to their pick-up location in Adeje. We knew it wasn't being actively manned due to maintenance work but in the absence of someone to personally return the car to, it ended up being towed by the local police (a long running disagreement with neighbours was at the bottom of that) and us being charge 95 Euros to get it out of impound before going home. Trying to contact them to get a refund since returning home has been frustrating to say the least (I note they don't seem to engage with any reviewers on this plaform) and they've ignored emails to their Adeje offices and the budget.co.uk website 'contact us' page gives a customer service email address that just bounces mail "5.3.0 - Other mail system problem 554-'5.4.6 Hop count exceeded - possible mail loop" and a contact form that returns a web error. Given them 2 stars on the basis of customer service post-rental; as I said the rental pick-up and the car itself were as expected Update - their infoatbudget.com address also rejects email

Really helpful team at Richmond budget. Had some issues with vandals on the car but they helped me fix them myself instead of charging me arm and leg in fee. Great service.

In the past over a decade I have rented cars from Budget Thailand not less than 50-55 times for over 1000 days of rentals but each time no recognition as a frequent customer nor any courtesy upgrade or special deal , so after using long 13 years or do I stopped renting their cars. The Budget Thailand rent a car website doesn’t work and wants you to email or call for reservations which is not really convenient as well . If it was in a first world country by now I would reacted their highest level of loyalty membership and could get a good deal with perks like free upgrade or good value but that not what budget Thailand knows about, all that tgey care is Money . It’s sad
