I cannot understand the negative reviews for this company. My robins absolutely love the CJ Wildlife ‘Fatballs Original’ and enjoy these out of a bowl every morning. The service is fast and the parcels are always well packaged. I have recently purchased some ‘Lima Fatball Scoop and Feed’ birdfood holders. I added an original fatball to each one and hung them on low branches of trees. My Great Tits and Blue Tits are now on these constantly (these holders don’t work for Robins as they are ground feeders). Highly recommend this company and have always received exceptional service from them.

I purchased the Woodstone Ground Feeder (£34.99) as wanted to feed robins and other ground feeding birds. Sadly this has been a complete waste of money as something has been able to access all of the expensive seed I put in it and it’s empty after 2 days, with bird seed all over my border!! Not fit for purpose sadly. Would not recommend

I purchased a National Trust Appollo 2 port bird feeder on line. I bought it because I find feeders get clogged up with waste and tiny parts of seeds. This makes the feeder unhygienic and often impossible to clean the debris away. However, this feeder, while appearing to be designed for easy cleaning - it is not! I called the company and explained that there are tiny slits built into the design. I spent over half an hour trying the remove the rotting seed with a brush and by soaking it. It is impossible to keep hygienic. The person I spoke to will report this to their design team, but there is nothing they can do about my purchase.

I have the 4 port Defender seed feeder with guardian and it is very good quality except for one disastrous design fault. The wire hanger which slots through the lid is supposed to attach to a metal rod that goes through the top of the tube. Three design issues here: (1) At one end of the rod there is a hole through it, but on the other end there is an open notch. I thought this was broken and it should be another hole, but it is meant to be like that. (2) The hooks on the ends of the wire are right-angled and only about 6 mm long. Completely inadequate. They slip out of the hole easily and will not stay in the notch at all. (3) The hooks face the same way and would be more secure if they faced in opposite directions. This is a large feeder and heavy when filled. Once again it has crashed to the ground spilling half the seed out. Because of the very poor design of the hanger attachment it is not fit for purpose. I would also add that it is very awkward to dismantle and rebuild for cleaning. It was an expensive feeder and is effective at keeping the larger birds out, so this is very disappointing.

The service is great, the product not so much! The design of the lids and hangers on the National Trust defender tube bird seed feeders is just awful! The hooks face the same direction so not secure, they come off very easily in the slightest wind and fall then break. The service I cannot fault nor their packaging but in the name of good value PLEASE change the hanging wires back to the ones previously. One hook facing one way and the other in the opposite direction.
