I signed up for a trial and immediately hated the AppleTV app. You cannot filter by difficulty, style or intensity on the AppleTV app. There are options in the navigation for these filters but they simply say "all (styles, difficulty or intensity) which literally makes those navigation options (and the app, imo) utterly useless. I literally reached out within an hour of signing and asked them to cancel my trial. Great if you want to market that you have "thousands of classes" but if you make it impossible for the user to find classes that suit them then your app sucks. I was looking for yoga and it took me a while to find one because I had to scroll through Pilates and other classes that I wasn't looking to take. Then landed on a random yoga class after ten minutes. It was okay. Not great. Not terrible. Maybe it is an AppleTV thing and their iPad, iPhone, web app is better. I wouldn't know. I am looking for an AppleTV app and this is the worse I've seen. I have trialed quite a few recently. It's a shame when the content is overshadowed by a bad user experience. Do better, Alo Moves.

I loved some of the videos and instructors, but this company has no respect for its long-term customers. I purchased the annual membership with a '50% lifetime' discount, but when i wanted to renew it with the discount applied, they told me "i am too late as it only applies to memberships which are not continuously active". Funny thing is that I asked them just 1 day after my membership ended. Ridiculous. It took weeks to clarify the situation, by the end of which I really do not want to invest my money in this.

I had a recent experience with the otherwise fantastic Alo Moves company that left a really bad taste in my mouth. Almost two years after not renewing an annual membership I had with them, my Canadian bank account was mysteriously debited over $300 by the yoga brand. After a bit of research, I confirmed that yes, my membership had indeed been cancelled, found a toll-free number and called their help desk. I was told by a lovely but ultimately disappointing CSR, Gerald, that there was nothing he/Alo could do but rather I had to take this up with my bank (and no, he would not allow me to speak to his supervisor…). Having been down this frustrating road before with other online vendors, I iwrote an honest review sharing my experience on both Trust Pilot as well as Apple’s App store - which was rife with similar 1 star reviews sharing the same experience. (Buyer beware!) I then followed the review process up with an email to Alo sharing my story. Well I’m happy to report that a mere 25 hours later, Alo’s wrong has been ALMOST righted (they credited me $289 of the $310 they took from me…) so I am doing the right thing and changing my negative review to reflect not just the improvement but also their speedy response and efforts. While the end result is not 100% in my favour, it is 95% so in the spirit of Alo, I’m going to let it go and take the Zen road. Alo/Brianna, you’ve done the right thing and I’m grateful. People DO have the power! Namaste everyone…

I love some instructors and classes. But, the app crashes frequently it’s insane as hell. After my first year subscription discounted, they renewed automatically whilst the setting never indicated when/how much.. I promise I asked their customer service 5 times but I got no answer on when it’s renewal date and how much. In the first year they didnt charge vat but in the second year they charged including tax without a notice. The general customer service and communication was too poor. Even navigating how to cancel is not simple. It’s just an app ready to take your money without returning any notice or communication. Bye alo, i’ll move to glo!

What other customers say it’s inaccurate. They refunded my purchase after I mistakenly forgot to cancel the yearly subscription.
