Albany Park Tracking Order Status

We received our Kova L-shaped box cushion sectional a week ago so I can't yet speak to the longevity of how the couch wears over time, but we love it so far. Unbeknownst to me, I read the reviews on their website (all glowing) but probably would have been dissuaded had I read the experiences here. Thankfully, our interaction with both customer service and the delivery team have been positive. Customer Service - I ordered the couch on Black Friday but had a construction project going on at home and wanted to delay shipment of the couch so that it didn't get dirty sitting in the middle of a work zone. I contacted customer service and they were able to hold the couch for 3 extra weeks to meet our desired delivery timeline. Delivery - When delivery week came, I got an email with date options to pick my desired delivery date. On the day I picked, I got a call and text message from the driver letting me know he was a half hour away. When they arrived, my husband and I were struggling to carry our old couches to the garage. Seeing that I was having a hard time lugging our heavy old couch through the door, the driver stepped in for me (without being asked) and helped my husband carry it outside. Assembly - I found assembly to be pretty easy and straightforward. No tools are required but you do need some muscle to push in the back and arm rests (TBH, we tilted the sections on the floor and CAREFULLY stepped on the slides to use gradual body weight to push the pieces in the last few centimeters versus pounding or jerking on them). Connecting the pieces was easy with their "click in" system. They seem to stay together fine and if you need to unhook, you just pull the piece with the peg up to disconnect it from the arm. Look and Feel - We got the rust color in performance velvet and it's more muted and beautiful than it looks in the pictures online. I ordered about a dozen fabric samples ahead of time to test the color, feel, and quality of the fabrics before picking and I am glad that I did. I'm also SO happy that I opted for the box cushions versus the pillow cushions. I think this is a newer option for the Kova and in my opinion, the box shape gives a cleaner, less "crumpled" look which I worried about with the pillow cushions that seem to leave dents every time you sit on them. The back cushions are still down-filled which makes them super fluffy and soft but you do need to pat/fluff them at the end of the day to get them to stand up straight. So far, I find the couch very comfortable - the cushions are deep, the performance velvet is soft, and when my toddler spilled coffee, it wiped up easily and left no trace (the covers are washable though if it hadn't wiped up). Durability - To be determined but given what I spent on this piece, I hope it lasts for years to come. After getting it assembled and set up, I decided to add the storage ottoman and am currently awaiting delivery to complete the look. Overall, I am happy so far with my purchase. I think the couch looks more expensive (think Arhaus) than it was. After reading some other reviews, I am keeping my fingers crossed that my positive experience continues on!

Title: Disappointing Quality, Filing Warranty Claim I purchased the Kova Sectional in October 2021, and it’s been nothing but a headache. The internal frame has broken in several places (invisible but easily felt), the cushions lost their support right away, and the fabric has worn down far too quickly. Looks nothing like the photos on the website. To top it off, the underside fabric on the entire sectional detached on its own and rests on the floor —this was never touched or mishandled. I’m now filing a warranty claim, but I can’t find any success stories online. I’m frustrated and really hoping Albany Park will honor their warranty. I’ll update this review based on how things go, but right now, I’m beyond disappointed. UPDATE #1: After about 10 days of back and forth... Albany Park's warranty and customer service has been quite the disappointment. For starters they are refusing to send me a written copy of their warranty policy! Second, their customer service email account is kicking back my emails with a "mailbox full" response. when the emails do get through, They are dismissing most of my complaints about quality, durability, & workmanship. Reply to Albany Park ( Update #2): Once again, you’ve failed to provide the written warranty policy I’ve explicitly requested. Redirecting me to a vague webpage is unacceptable. As per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, Albany Park is legally obligated to provide a complete copy of the warranty policy, and I expect you to do so immediately. (For everyone reading this - these are the typical responses. they make it sound nice, and do not actually provide you with anything!)

I ordered the standard Kova sofa in rust velvet. After reading a lot of negative reviews the order seemed risky. I'm glad I took a chance. It's not perfect, but it checks so many boxes. The pros: It's huge, deep, and comfortable, especially for couch nappers; fabric is pretty, easy to clean, and sturdy; packed really well; reasonably easy to put together; solid and feels well made, doesn't feel modular. The cons: The freight company cancelled a scheduled delivery day-of and pushed the delivery out 2 weeks; the arms are as high as the back--a function of the modular design--which is weird to get used to. I like the arm height, it adds a sense of coziness to the couch and pillows, but it's unusual. To address some common things people say: I have heard no crinkles at all from the cushions. They are soft filled. Compared with a standard-design couch the cushions are "thin" in that they are more like pillows. They look good--they're what make the couch--and are in fact comfortable. The back and side cushions are the same: comfortable and cozy while being wide and flat. The modular pieces fit together securely, and the hardware holding the sections together feels quite secure. We have 2 English Mastiffs that weigh more than 200 lbs each and they climb up and down and sleep on the sofa with no creaking or sliding or separating. I like the sofa so much I will order more when our other sofas are ready for the bin.

I have been saving up to purchase a kova sofa for over a year and we finally pulled the trigger, however after having this in our house for a few days I’m very underwhelmed and feeling let down. We received the sofa a week later than expected due to the freight company, which is not Albany Park’s fault. Assembling the sofa was fairly straightforward and I have an engineer hubby and teen who put it together in less than an hour. The modern lines of the sofa are nice to look at, however functionally, this sofa offers no support. I was expecting a cloud like sofa as advertised, but the cushions are quite flat and need frequent fluffing to regain their shape. I am 120 lbs and can feel the bottom of the sofa while lounging. The cushions also do not stay put, especially on the ottoman…there is nothing to keep them in place/secured. My MIL who is a senior refuses to sit on this couch as there is no support. After years of wanting to own a nice “adult” couch I am very disappointed in my decision, especially for the price we paid for this and I have contacted customer service. I have not received a call back as of yet. I’m hoping Albany Park can assist. I really really wanted to love this sofa, however it is not what I was expecting nor do I feel this couch is “the world’s most comfortable sofa” as advertised.

Let's start off with the good. Shipping was okay I guess. They stayed within the time frame. Delivery was kind of a mess as they tell you it's mon-fri but the people ended up coming on a Saturday so we had to waste our entire day waiting for them. We ordered the kova in velvet rust and the color is great. The material is also very nice especially if you have cats, as they do not like scratching it. And that's about it for the good. Okay now for the bad. This is the most UNCOMFORTABLE sofa I've ever sat on. I was in denial at first because it is pretty expensive and I was influenced lol. But the pillows go flat as soon as you sit on them. And they make this loud crunchy sound because of the bag that's inside the cushion cover. I thought that maybe it would break in but no, we are almost a year into this thing and if anything it's gotten more uncomfortable. We've put more stuffing inside the cushions and are probably going to end up putting more foam in too. It is absolutely atrocious and you can forget falling asleep on it. It also looks awful after you sit on it for more than 10 seconds. It's just me, my boyfriend, and our two cats and I fluff the cushions DAILY to make it look presentable. I would not recommend this sofa if you have kids or dogs or a busy lifestyle because it just straight up looks sloppy. I was influenced to buy this sofa because they only post good reviews and I feel scammed honestly. I will never buy another sofa again without sitting on it first
