Telecharge – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

Tried to book Broadway tickets yesterday. Got as far as confirming payment when following error message shown: "We’re sorry. Your purchase cannot be completed due to unusual activity. Please call 212-239-XXXX or 800-545-XXXX if you think this is in error." (XXXX added to hide number) Tried with 2 different credit cards but same message. One card seamed to show a transaction pending Phoned 800 number, was put on hold for some time. Eventually they confirmed problem with their server. Did not proceed with purchase over phone due to what looked like a pending payment. Later confirmed with card company that payment did not go thru. Today tried to book again with same error. Found out that my call from UK to 800 number cost me £21. Will avoid this company from now on as clearly relying to some extent on phone charges caused by their "faulty" system. Unfortunately many broadway shows only sell thru Telecharge online. Will try TKTS booths in NY when we get there
