The support rep kept hanging up on me when I told her that I forgot to put in my promotion code upon ordering. As soon as she found out that she was going to have to give me a credit it turned into a two hour process with extensive wait times upon having to call back. I'll never purchase from Teavana again. Customer support staff can easily poison a company and this woman should be fired. I run a small business and understand the challenges in giving good technical and customer support. One would think that if there are fifteen minute + wait times every day Teavana would hire new staff to lower this.

I called customer service and after a 40 minute hold (this is within 15 minutes of their customer service line opening) I finally get a representative. I explained that the Perfect Tea Maker I bought had a defect as one of the feet were cracked and after running through the dishwasher, fell off. I was asked if it was an online or store purchase. I told them that I bought it in a Cleveland, OH store. She immediately stopped asking questions about my problem and said that I would have to take it to the store for them to see my receipt. I explained that I lived 4+ hours away and had bought it on vacation for my wife. She told me that it didn't matter, that I would need to take it back to the store where I purchased it?!? I ask if I could fax/email my receipt and a picture of the problem. She said "No, I already explained that you must return it to the store, I cannot help you". What the heck!? So build a store within an hour's drive and I might consider it, but with the $150+ I just spent, you're telling me I'm out of luck unless I make a 500 mile trek??? I ask for a supervisor and she said that I would have to wait 24-48 hours for a return call. Fine...I told her I would wait. Too much money invested to blow this off. We will see if they really call me back. Going to call the store as well and see what they will do if anything remotely.

Teavana has done a great job merging with Starbucks, to bring their teas to an audience that might not have otherwise tried them. I renewed my love of loose tea with an accidental purchase of a loose-leaf tin (I didn't read carefully enough), and ended up digging up my old infuser to try it out. Once I jumped down that rabbit hole, there was no stopping my tea obsession from returning with a passion. Whilst surfing Teavana's website, one reviewer mentioned that he preferred the tea at another website - due to Teavana's "artificial flavor" ingredient, so I hopped over to that website and placed a test order. Once that tea arrived - I was converted instantly. So while Teavana gets four stars, for being a decent tea company with great exposure, it lost the fifth to my favorite tea company.

I purchased my 3rd contour tumbler as a 2015 Christmas gift for one of my kids to give to me. Was so excited to get it but sooooo dissappointed in the product. The new tumbler DID NOT keep my tea hot as the others. I actually did a timed test with boiling water and thermometer. DISMAL failure for the new tumbler. So, I called Teavana and talked with the first "customer service" person who wouldn't/couldn't help me because I didn't have my order number. She said she could not look up my name. So when I hung up, I called back and got another person who looked up my name and got all my information to send out a new tumbler - Joy! Well, not so much. Never came. Called again, same response - new tumbler is on the way! Nada. Called again and got a person who said yes, I see where you should have received a tumbler. Sorry for the inconvenience will send it either 2/3 day delivery. Verified address and contact information. NADA. So I e-mailed Teavana with the above information and never heard back from them. I love Teavana tea (even though it is quite pricey) but the joy of using my pretty, new white tumbler is completely ruined by the non-existent customer service this company provides. I don't believe they know the value of a good client experience. They very happily and efficiently take my money when I place an order on line or go to the store, but I guess after that, well . . . .

I love tea. I am trying to expand my knowledge and experience more varieties of tea. I ordered quite a bit of tea. Not only did they take care of me, they have great bonus discounts at the checkout. The tea is delicious and great quality. You will not be sorry ordering from Speciateas.com!!
