When you sell something for $1, you make 20 cents off it. The company and their fees take 80% of the money for something I created. I think it's disgusting, and have since listed my items for free. That isn't how you treat teachers trying to be able to afford rent..

I recently started selling my educational resources on Teachers Pay Teachers and I have to say, I am extremely disappointed with the commission and service fee that the platform charges. When I sell a product for 99 cents, TPT takes a commission of 45 cents and a service fee of 30 cents, which means I only get 24 cents for a 99 cent product. This is a whopping 75% commission taken by the platform! As an educator who puts in a lot of time and effort to create resources for my students, it is disheartening to see such a high percentage of my earnings taken away by the platform. TPT claims to support teachers and creators, but their commission and service fee policy seems designed to benefit the platform more than the creators. I believe that TPT needs to be more transparent about their fees and ensure that they are fair to creators. The current policy of taking such a large percentage of earnings is discouraging for creators and may discourage them from continuing to create resources for the platform. I cannot recommend Teachers Pay Teachers to other educators who are looking to sell their resources. Creators deserve to be compensated fairly for their hard work, and TPT's commission and service fee policy appears to be taking advantage of creators rather than supporting them.

This review is in relation customer service and not on the website itself (which I absolutely love!). This was my first time having to reach out to customer service, and I am very, very pleased with both the service and the outcome. The response I received was prompt, the representative took the time to read and understand my concern and proppsed a solution that perfectly addressed the issue. I can easily spend all day looking through everything that is offered at teacherspayteachers.com. They have a lot of things that teachers are giving away for free but even those that cost money are easily less than 5 dollars. You can find things for any grade level, from pre-k to high school. I haven't had any problems downloading anything I have purchased. It's one of my go-to sites if I want something for my classroom but don't want to have to take the time to make it myself or simply do not have the software to do so.
