I had Verizon and wanted to switch because of the price I was paying. I live in a rural area and was very concerned about how my coverage would be because it’s not that great where I live. I took the chance and switched and figured I’d switch right back if it wasn’t a do-able signal. It turns out I get more bars and better data coverage than I did with Verizon. My bill is less than half what it was. I’m very happy. I’ve had them for about 3 months now.

I called Support today and the tech was able to help me reset some settings that fixed my connection issues. All's good now! I'm primarily connected to Wifi all day. Occasionally I see the voicemail icon. When I try to check it, I receive a message on screen that no Cellular network is connected. I have 0 bars unless I restart my the phone. I don't ever remember this happening the past 7+ years with Republic. If I make calls over wifi, why do I get this message. Going to give it a little time before I move to another provider.

Republic member since 2009. I had the hardest time switching: see my prior post. After about 4-5 hours on phone with reps and 2 weeks wait, the tickets are resolved and i am fully functioning on Dish Republic. I have to say: the connection is GREAT. Our phones actually have better connectivity, no dropped Skype calls to Europe and service in areas where we did not have service before. I am resolving some billing issues that arose but I am much hopeful these will resolve too. If you are reading this, Dish Republic, pls consider a chat or email customer service. Your agents are polite but their English is at times hard to understand and the wait for an available agent is unbearable. I am giving you 5 stars but one of those stars is a credit for you to consider adding a chat or email customer service option. The email customer service with old Republic always worked like a charm.

I waited until June 8th to upgrade my plan and order a new SIM card. Motorola MOTO G6 play. Been on Republic Wireless for many years, I guess I'm on about my third phone. Popped the new SIM card in my phone today. Called Republic Wireless DISH, talked to an agent who walked me through a few steps to activate. Not one hiccup, not one moment of lost service, same phone I've had for 2 years. I'll go from paying $15 bucks a month to paying $19.99. Satisfied and staying put.

We loved Republic Wireless and recommended it to everyone. We loved the ability to call over Wi-Fi so we didn't have to worry about being able to call the US while traveling. We loved the flexibility of adding 1 gigabyte of data at a time, but also being able to function without data if we chose not to add data. My husband needed a phone and we bought one through a promotion Dish was offering. It has been two weeks of torture trying to get our service set up on their new network. Every time we call, they tell us it will take 3-5 business days, but then nothing happens. So we call again and they offer to start the activation process again. They refuse to let us talk to managers. There isn't another course of action to take except hope that the next round of activation works. We're done. We're finding a new service provider. Update: Republic reached out and our service representative was magically able to activate our phones with a couple of hours. They also gave us a credit on our account towards our next phone bill. They didn't ask me to update this review. I've liked Republic for a long time and I want to see them survive this transition. I know others in the same situation having a hard time with the new network, but hopefully it will get smoothed out soon.
