Qatar Airways – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

The amazing experience with Qatar Airways. I travelled to the UK from Nigeria en route from Qatar to the United Kingdom. The journey was memorable. I recently travelled back home for an urgent assignment through another airline, and now I appreciate the service they rendered on my first trip. I wish Qatar Airways the best as they keep the comfort, ambience, and non-stop entertainment service that make the journey seamless. You are the best Bird flying that I know for now, please keep it up.

Ich bin oft (gesamt 16x) mit Qatar Airways geflogen, und ich kann mich den negativen Bewertungen nicht anschließen. Ob Economy oder Business, alles war hervorragend. Die Flugzeuge waren recht neu, geräumig, gut ausgestattet, bequeme Sitze, gepflegt und blitzsauber, das Personal immer sehr freundlich und serviceorientiert. Hier können einige Airlines etwas lernen. Besonders die Bereiche Freundlichkeit und Sauberkeit fallen sehr positiv auf. Ich selbst habe keine Verspätung oder Ausfälle erlebt (und war deshalb nicht auf weitere Hilfe angewiesen, hier habe ich keine Erfahrungen). Eine wünschenwerte Verbesserung rege ich aber an. Flüge nach Malaysia werden ab Doha von Malaysian Airlines durchgeführt. Eine Sitzplatzreservierung dort ist bei der Buchung nicht möglich. Bei Malaysian Airlines ist es auch nicht möglich, den ich habe ja dort nicht gebucht. Nach vielen Telefonaten (das war mühsam) gab es nur die Möglichkeit einen kostenpflichtigen Sitzplatz zu reservieren, in dem ich alle Daten meiner Kreditkarte übergebe, also auch die Prüfnummer / Sicherheitscode. Das habe ich natürlich abgelehnt und bat schriftlich um eine andere Möglichkeit. Ich erhielt auch tatsächlich einen Anruf, hier wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass es keine andere Möglichkeit gibt. So hatte ich also 2 Flüge ohne Sitzplatzreservierung. Hier kann nachgebessert werden.

UPDATE: Their customer service hotline is indeed of poor quality in many aspects, as my fellow TrustPilot users pointed out. It sounded like the agent, who could barely speak audible English, lived in outer space, speaking to me with her face buried under pillows. After 30 minutes, during the 3rd time that I asked for clarification, she hung up on me. I had to call again, and by comparison, the 2nd dude was cool. Original 5-Star Review: I use Qatar at least twice a year, sometimes with student discounts. It has been three years with great experiences so far. The airport and on-flight services are much better than the competitors. I once showed up late at Heathrow due to railway strikes, and Qatar offered me a free change of flight to the next day + gifted me good seats. However, occasionally, they forget to prepare my diet meal for me, though they always compensate me with fruits or other alternatives.

Travelled on holiday from Jordan to Thailand with QA. My experience in the air was good, modern airplanes Airbus 350-900 AMM/DOH and Boeing 777-300 ER DOH/BKK/DOH with excellent attentive crew and good quality meals. I sourced my ticket online through Expedia and got a good deal £580 economy return. The only downside was the QA website. It is terrible, you cannot find your way around and it keeps looping back. Took me 45 minutes to checkin on the outward journey and only managed that by signing into Privelege Club. On the return leg the QA website wouldn't let me checkin at all. Fortunately the checkin staff in BKK were great, no delays just walked upto the desk and they checked me in and gave a leg room seat 18D as I am 2m tall. Better not to mention the final leg under code share with an RJ flight and vintage aircraft. That I would describe as bloody awful.
