Owlet – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

The only one good thing is the quality of picture. The functionality of the app is very poor. Especially if you are a secondary user. Picture can take a long while to load, sometimes it takes multiple openings and closings of the app. Full screen is almost impossible to load. Notifications are delayed and you can sometimes hear your baby crying, before the app notifies you. This is not a WiFi issue, i wish i read more reviews before purchasing, as those issues were mentioned numerous times. Another thing is, that it is only camera that we have purchased, it does feel that there could be some additional features added up to this baby monitor like a soft music or white noise,it feels like this product is not worth the money unfortunately. I also do not understand how an app of such basic design can only show you temperature if farnheits with no way of changing it to Celsius. Surely it would have been an easy fix for the Owlet company...

We’ve been using the camera for 7 months now. When we started using it, it was okay. We could see baby, but app was very unreliable (sometime it just wouldn’t load and we gave up) and camera quality was not great either. 7 months on our baby is sleeping and camera turns off. We go up to check what is wrong and the wire connected to the owlet machine is smoking! If we hadn’t walked in, the machine would have caught fire, put our baby and house in danger. I have been trying to contact Owlet UK customer services team and I have had 0 response back from them! This is the first review I’ve left like this to share with other parents, there are better baby products out there. Im so so angry with Owlet and would never recommend this product to any parent again.

Not even a year and a half old - always disconnects, the temperature isn’t correct, blurry, and audio stoped working. Can’t believe the price of this camera for the quality. Completely unreliable.

I find this product great. The camera works great, about 2 seconds relay which is great. It gives me push notifications even when I’m at work or out in the lawn and my girlfriend is home. I don’t understand what everyone else has a problem with. Greatest buy I’ve made for me and my son.

I’m surprised to see so many negative comments as I really like the product and I’m very happy with it. I’ve been using it since our daughter was born and had no issues when she’s 4 months now. I can see why people have some issues - the app depends on strong wifi connection so it may be slow or delayed if your wifi is not fast enough (we have 150mb and works fine). If the sock is not put in properly on the feet then it doesn’t reads correctly and can trigger a red warning (it happened to us couple of times - very scary waking up to it - but we realised that my husband put the sock a wrong way). Only one thing for which I gave one star less is that you can’t see the camera at the same time as doubling something else on your phone so it has to be constantly on the Owlet app otherwise you won’t be able to monitor the baby. It would be good to have the option to keep a little window on the screen with the camera and readings same as on YouTube has it while you are browsing other videos. Just a thought for improvement. Otherwise I would recommend it and I’m happy with the product.
