Newspapers – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

This is a plea for forgiveness. On Oct 22 2024 I wrote a critical review of newspapers.com regarding my belief that my 7-day free trial was shortened to 1 day. My inability to get back on the site was MY FAULT. NEWSPAPERS.COM contacted me and facilitated my access. Once I figured it out: it's been working fabulously. I took out a 6-month subscription. APOLOGIES to newspapers.com: MY BAD!!!

I am delighted to renew my subscription to newspaper.com -. Of all the historical, genealogical sites used for genealogy research, newspaper.com. is one of the best. Moreover, they are absolutely kind and wonderful when you write to them for questions etc. They offer also regularly free one week look at their site, which is very kind. That’s how we discovered the site but now we take the six months subscription and are very happy. Excellent site for anyone interested in genealogy or history.

Bad news travels fast and good news travels slow, but I have no words to express my appreciation to Lana at Newspapers.com, for this bit of good news. There’s been a falsified article that has been haunting me for the past 7 years of my life. Thanks to Lana for going above and beyond and getting others involved to finally having this article removed, I am looking forward to having my reputation restored and getting my life back! I’m forever grateful to Lana at Newspapers.com.

While I had the initial complaint with Newspapers.com in February in March I looked into the result of the credits issued. Any reaction only came after my complaint on Trustpilot was viewed by Ancestry/Newspapers.com. I was contacted by the Ancestry person on this site in response. Also It does seem the credits came from the customer service person at Ancestry. It is obvious there is a relationship between both parties and I found one business thru the other. While I can easily look it up what matters is the fact was that while I had a problem it was resolved. Trustpilot served as the intermediary in this dispute. Positive results with all parties happy.

Just this week I made a mistake with this website believing it would charge in AUD as opposed to USD. I used the one week free trial and then realised that before I was able to cancel my subscription I was charged for a full year ($122 AUD). On Sunday I sent an email explaining my situation and the transaction statement and by Tuesday I was refunded in full in AUD. Wonderful prompt service.
