OWC – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

Upshot: I'd work with OWC again. Paid for 2-Day shipping and shipment arrived on time. Product received was the product ordered. Good Packaging. Installation, formatting and connection of purchased OWC MiniStack STX (with 2TB SSD & 8TB HDD installed) to my existing 0.5TB Apple Mini Mac M2 2023 was seamless.

The order process was quick and easy. Finding the item was very easy. It shipped and was delivered relatively quickly, arriving on time when it was supposed to. Returning an item from the shipment hasn't been so easy. Requesting an RMA was easy but having the email sent with the label and instructions will probably require me to chat with them as I had to do for my last return. Returning an item should be as easy as order an item

I was not sure if this monitor would work for me. Customer service was very thorough in checking out compatibility, which I appreciated. I also a excited to get a 27 mac monitor for a price I could afford. Wheee!

Installation was pretty easy in my case, as I was replacing a failed Ninjabatt. The Ninjabatt had less than 20 cycles on it before it started randomly disconnecting power- and yes, I tried resetting the SMC and conditioning the battery. The adhesive was much weaker than the original Apple battery, so I was able to use a piece of waxed string to cut through the adhesive after having removed only the trackpad cable. It took under an hour start to finish. Then I followed Newertech's battery conditioning procedure. The new battery is so far EXACTLY as my original Apple battery was, i.e. -excellent-. It sleeps properly when the power gets low, saving my work- not just disconnecting. I get 4-10 hours out of a charge, depending on what I'm doing. If I'm just casually browsing, it gets me 9-10 hours, easily. If I'm doing something intense, I get less of course. This is just how the original Apple battery worked. Very happy so far.
