Subscription enable me to get a no-questions replacement GoPro Max after I damaged the lens in the Sahara, so it is also like having insurance. Customer service can be slow but they are serving so many millions of customers around the world.

I brought my husband a Hero-8 and after using it 3 times it broke. We went online and they did all they could to get it working and in the end they said they will replace it. As they has no Hero-8 they upgraded it to Hero-9. They sent all the return paperwork to print out and took under 2 weeks for the replacement to come. Only pain was to get the Gopro at a good price I had to get their subscription service. I paid by PayPal, so make sure auto renewal is off there and at GoPro.

I bought gopro 9 and i get in the sea the camera broke and they replaced it but their support was a bit late.
