Overall I'm satisfied with Redbox. I signed up for their loyalty program and get regular discounts that let me rent movies very cheap and often free. I just have one problem with them. They send you discount codes to use at checkout when you rent at the box, but it's way too easy to miss the place where you're supposed to enter the code, and suddenly you find you've completed the transaction and didn't get the discount. It's happened to me at least two or three times. It doesn't help any that it seems like every time I rent a movie, they've added another splash screen trying to up-sell you a Blu-ray version or get you to rent a second movie or whatever. You find yourself skipping past those screens over and over, and wherever they have the place to enter your discount code, it's apparently a footnote that's much easier to overlook than their efforts to get you to spend more money. On top of that, when it happened to me yesterday I called their customer service, and after going through a phone tree asking numerous questions that have nothing to do with the reason I called, I finally just gave up and started hitting "0" repeatedly until it shut up and put me through to a person. Finally, after about 10 minutes I got to talk to someone who told me they can't do anything about it now until after I return the video, then I can call back and ask them to apply the discount. I really don't see why it should matter, just deduct the discount amount from my charges now and add on any extra days if I don't return it in one day. So now I get to waste another frustrating 10+ minutes on the phone just for a $1.25 discount. They could do much better in that department

Worst customer service experience. Talked over me, interrupted, didnt even attemp.t to rectify the mistake. Alienated me as a customer over $2.97 they refused to refund but demanded I make more phone calls and write more emails to my bank etc after 1.5 hours on the phone. Laughable it would be, but its rather infuriating. Will never ever do business with them again. Never.

No major issues only the redbox was not working or not getting my points. Called and right away fixed it. movies r cheap. I have points and they constantly send promo codes

I've never had any issues with redbox until recently, I went to return a movie three times and the box was down every time. I finally returned my movies, talked with a representative and in less than 5 minutes of talking to her I was approved for a refund. That's how customer service is done! (I used the chat feature, I'm sure calling them will result in wait times and transferring, I recommend using the chat feature if you can.)

I used a coupon to reserve a movie for free from Redbox. I accidentally used my old debit card number as the card to pick up the movie. I contacted the live chat on Redbox and they fixed the issue in just a couple minutes. Very impressed with their costumer service!
