Maybe I just struck lucky but this was one of the most helpful and patient experiences I've ever had from a customer service helpline, a definite 5star Plus rating! I bought my own digital Senior Railcard last week using Tesco Clubcard vouchers and wanted a plastic version for my wife. She doesn't drive and our passports expired many years ago so I emailed the helpline and was told they could help if I sent a copy of her birth certificate. This I did, then phoned the number - at 9:30am so I'd made coffee and was prepared for a lengthy wait. A surprisingly quick response and then a really pleasant 10minutes with Intaquab talking me through the requirements, all of which were logical and which I was prepared for - until he asked for the Clubcard voucher reference which I'd forgotten to order. Luckily the Internet gods were still smiling on me and Intaquab was very patient - within 2 minutes the code was received. Everything today worked efficiently and smoothly and, based on this experience, I saw a perfect example of how all helplines will be one day! Mind you, we don't actually have the card yet ... we have to wait and see if Royal Mail can fulfil their part of the deal. I'm optimistic though! Well done to Railcard and particularly to Intaquab - Thank you again.

I agree with those who have said how difficult it is to renew a senior railcard online. On paying there was no confirmation that the payment had been accepted, which resulted in me paying twice, then having to talk to my bank about cancelling the payments. You need to sort out your systems. Nightmare. However , on the plus side, i phoned the railcard help desk and both Avi and Christopher were excellent in resolving the problem. Both extremely polite, made me feel that I was important, something that rarely seems to happen these days, whichever organization you deal with. Give those two a rise, a promotion or a big pat on the back, or all three.

Renewing my railcard over the phone excellent. I tried to renew it online and website has currently ongoing issue since last year. Problem solved

Renewed wife’s card on line but it arrived with my name. Contacted customer services who immediately cancelled the card and refunded the £70. Bought digital card online and again arrived with my name. Contacted customer service who again cancelled the card and issued a refund. Very helpful gentleman then completed the whole process on the phone so wife now has her card. To sum up, website needs work, customer services absolutely brilliant.
