Last Kind Bag Reviews from Trustpilot

My last review for Kind Bag was five stars, but unfortunately this review they only get one. Kind Bag is very big on customer service, social and environmental consciousness. Peace, love and unity and all that stuff. Don’t forget their namesake KIND! Penny pinching isn’t a trait I would think they’d be practicing. I made an order of three bags. Initially it was just for one. Then I thought I’d get one for my mum. So now we are at two. Then A.I told be if I spend £8 more, I’d get free shipping. May as well then. A few pounds more on the shipping, made sense just to get another bag. I found a bag for £9, so free shipping here we come. The A.I. happily congratulated me on getting free shipping. High fives all around! When I got to the checkout, the shipping fee was still on my bill. I contacted the customer services through the chat box, as I didn’t know the amount one had to spend to get free shipping, to check and A.I was saying I’d achieved it. I was was happy to have a human response, because they’ll be able to sort out my shipping fee still showing up on my bill, right? Wrong! I explained the situation, sent screen shots as requested, of A.I. stating my shipping was free. The customer service agent simply said free shipping is from £25 amount. My bill was 24 pounds and 75 pence! I thought the agent would simply honour the A.I.’s decision, because even a robot can see a few pence short is silly….but no! Here is where A.I. actually triumphs over a human with common sense. I didn’t think I’d see the day. The agent said I need to take of the 20% Earth Day discount to get free shipping and off she trott thinking she had resolved the situation. Huh? Sounds very backwards to me. I said I don’t want to do that, or buy an entire other bag to be way over £25 to get free shipping, so I’ll cancel my order. The agent said she was sorry to hear that and that was it. That doesn’t sound very kind to me. So folks, for the sake of 25p if my math is correct Kind Bag lost a £24.75 sale (and a customer) in a climate where sales for items like designer carrier bags are not abundant. It’s not smart financially and it’s not smart customer relations. I shopped with Kind Bag, because their bags are lovely and they sound like a company with good ethics that I share and ran by women too. Love to support female businesses, but the reality, on this occasion at least, has not been of their presented standards. If the A.I. had not told me my shipping was free, I wouldn’t be bothered. It told me to spend an extra amount to get free shipping. The human, who is suppose to have some sense, should have honoured the A.l. Especially for the sake of 25p! Suffice to say, I don’t like tightness in anybody, including companies. I wouldn’t want to support a company that would want to be that tight.
