Really good broadband, good customer service. Would recommend. No issues.

I'm surprised to see bad reviews as I have so far had exemplary, faultless service from John Lewis Broadband - unlike SSE before which was disastrous and diddled me over weekend calls...

Total disaster John Lewis Broadband. Had outage for 4 days. JL staff unhelpful. Took action to email BT CEO. Engineer identified open drain resulting in corrosion. However PlusNet/John Lewis are a customer of BT Wholesale yet cannot and will not progress this. Compensation £16 for all this inconvenience. Option pay £90 to get out of 12 mth contract. Although BT HOTSPOT was available this service is not offered by John Lewis. Will not be renewing with John Lewis. UPDATE found a competent person today. Fibre broadband will cost us a small amount to upgrade. Had someone taken time to be classed CUSTOMER SERVICE, then the inconsiderate compensation of £16 could with a further payment of goodwill concluded this sooner. We are remaining with PlusNet/JohnLewis for a further 12 month’s.Don’t be put off by staff who do not care as they are in the minority.

I have just gone through the process of upgrading from basic broadband to fibre. I was persuaded by the BT engineer who told me that fibre was much more resilient to faults on the line. I placed my order with John Lewis broadband on 10th May and fibre was activated on 19th May. The customer service representative, Caroline, was very helpful in explaining the process. Every time I have rung the help desk the call has been answered promptly by someone based in the UK. For an extra £5 or so a month I am now getting four times the speed. I am well satisfied with the service.

I live in North London and know that my telephone line can deliver good broadband - and with John Lewis broadband it does. Setup was easy, and a few weeks later I've had no issues. I keep an eye on the speed, and if it drops I disconnect it for 5 minutes, which always cures the situation.
