I was set to fly Icelandair to Canada for Christmas. I regularly fly between the UK and Canada, and this was my 3 such flight in a year. So I am accustomed to the processes, and the possibility of delays and cancellations especially during winter and holiday seasons. My Flight between Glasgow and Reykjavik was canceled on December 20th. They quickly rebooked me on another flight a day later departing December 21st. I did call to see if there were any other options to get me home the day I intended, but they weren't ideal as I would've had to leave for the airport within hours of my call to them. As i was rebooked automatically on British airways and air Canada flights home, which is where i was let down by those two airlines when i missed my connection due to a delay, and denied boarding due to that delay and lost luggage. I was anxious to fly again after that experience, especially with a new airline to me. But their check in was quick and easy. As well as communication prior to boarding was effective. While they do not have a proper boarding order like other airlines, it was still quick. I had lots of room, with a big entertainment screen, For being in Economy. As i was flying a newer plane being the Boeing 737 max 8. I was given a blanket and pillow, as well as provided water throughout the flight. I did pre-order a meal as they do not offer complementary food, which I did like as it allowed me to choose my meal, and not given bad-tasting food I don't eat on other flights. I really enjoyed the meal I got, as it gave me the food items I actually enjoy eating. As i had a short layover in iceland i was worried as it was only 1 hour, considering i had a 1hour 25 minute layover in london yet still missed a flight since they gave my seat away. The flight attendants provided advice depending on your final destination of Europe or UK + Ireland. As i would stay in D gates, i did not need to go through passport control or security meaning i had plenty of time to relax and wait for my next flight, which was just as good as the first. I had a great experience with them and would definitely fly with them again.

due tot covid19 my flight was canceled in 2020 and I was suppose to receive a voucher. April 2022 I wanted to book again and realised I didn't have a voucher. After contacting the servicedesk I received my voucher within a day. Due tot technical problems my flight in Denver was canceled and I got on a different plane with UA the next day. I applied for EU compensation wth Icelandair and received this within a week. There are plenty of company's who will do anything to delay paying EU compensation. So I was pleasantly surprised by this swift payment. And by the way, my suitcase got lost because of the change of airlines but it was delivered at my home adress after a few weeks. So it was a bumpy ride but Icelandair really showed how to provide customerservice.

I had a great flights from Manchester to Boston via Iceland. They opened the check in desk in Manchester early and despite current issues with security in most airports at the moment we managed to take off slightly early and the same leaving Iceland. The planes were well kept, very clean and comfortable. I arrived into Boston half an hour early last night. I ordered a Keto box meal which was very tasty and substantial. I noticed the sandwiches some people had ordered from the trolly looked delicious too. Free tea, coffees and soft drinks too.

We have just returned from Canada, flying London - Toronto via Reykjavik. All four flights were on time and excellent - we were in Saga class. Food and service were perfect throughout; lounges at London (No1) and particularly Toronto (Plaza Premium) very good. Check-in at Toronto was slow and difficult, baggage reclaim at Gatwick slow as ever with "priority" labels not getting priority - both of these things maybe outside Icelandair direct control. It was worrying to read poor reviews before travelling but we were really happy with our entire Icelandair travel.

A great flight, food was still being served for the kids and drinks for adults. Felt safe and staff were very polite
