Shithouse of a company!!! SOAKING WET COAL THAT DOESN'T DRY IN MONTHS!!!

The bagged solid fuel delivered was wet and therefore unusable. I was advised to try to dry it out and that it was ok to burn it when damp. I informed Homefire that I have been advised not to burn damp fuel I was then advised that “once you have some dry fuel if you can put some of the wet fuel in a bucket in front of the fire it will speed the drying process up”.

Delivery man was for some reason in a really bad mood, argued and lied about delivery instructions we had in writing. He slammed the delivery around, causing several areas of damage to our property which we photographed and reported. Despite a very apologetic and polite initial response from the lady in the office, we had no further response to our complaint. Obviously Homefire couldn’t care less about the damage caused, customer service, or repeat custom.

Poor service from Homefire on deliveries. I placed an order of logs in early October with delivery eventually scheduled for the end of October. I took a day off work for the expected delivery only to wake up to an email informing me that it had been cancelled due to a problem. Unfortunately due to this I’ve had to cancel the order with Homefire, with a week quoted for a refund. Considering the same product is available elsewhere with next day delivery (albeit slightly more expensive) that’s the option i’ll be using in the future.

I ordered some kiln dried logs at the beginning of October. The delivery was supposed to be the 10th of October. I got an email to say delivery was delayed and l would get a new delivery date. Despite ringing twice l still don't have a delivery date and it's the 24th of October. I ordered last year and it was fine so l don't know what has happened since then. I can only hope l get a delivery date soon.
