I have had H2O monthly unlimited for a few years now. I use WIFI and Data interchangeably, and don't even think about it. My data is unlimited, and even if I stream videos or the news to my phone any time I want, I have never had it slow down. My data is supposed to be capped at 5GB and after that it is still not limited, it is only slowed down. It's never happened to me. And I use the internet on my phone all day long. Overseas texts and messaging services work perfectly. Twice I have found MMS stopped working after updates, but I just called customer service and they helped me reconfigure it in about 10 minutes. I can't speak for iPhone users, or users with locked phones. Having a phone that "belongs" to a service provider is counter-intuitive to "ditching cellphone contracts" altogether. My phone is an unlocked, international version Samsung. I pay $28 a month at H2O and get a service that is literally unlimited in every way. After three years, they put my service up by like, $1.70. My only complaint is that they outsource their customer service to the Phillipines, which makes it difficult to hear or understand the tech and vice versa. They are knowledgeable, though. A special bonus with this plan, is that I get international texting - which I was unable to achieve with T-mobile, Sprint or AT&T. Another benefit of having H2O, is that you can cancel anytime, also add more services anytime.

I have been using H2O prepaid service for more than 3 years. I get a good connection in mid-west and other places I have visited in US, with no dropped calls. I only recharge when my balance is low and never had any issue with their customer service. I have contacted their customer service on few occasions, like data plan not working, for recharge and switching plans. They had been mostly helpful. Over these years, once I received a lot of prank calls, voice mails and text messages from different users over the course of 2 weeks. I contacted H2O customer service and was told they will investigate it and get back to me, and give me the credit, which never happened. But you can't expect the top notch service at this price. I even had issues with T-Mobile customer service, just saying.
