Zero corporate responsibility, supports scammers

I give it minus 5 if i could. I booked, one car rental from expedia, one hotel ( thru their hotel.com) on my upcoming trip to UK. Both had problems. For my car rental, i booked an extra day by mistake. Alamo claimed they cannot helped me because i used a third party platform, i must go to expedia. Expedia claimed Alamo refused to change and i have to cancel and rebook again. you know what’s the catch? i have to pay different price now. so damn if you do and damn if you don’t. zero recourse I booked a holiday apartment through hotel.com. paid on 11 may and the apartment owner went incommunicado from 11 may to 22 May and suddenly appear after 22 May. due to no response, i cancel my booking on 19 May as I have free cancellation before 22 May. but no, at first hotel.com said i followed the policy and will get my refund according to properly policy. after 22 May, hotel.com said property has a right to retain my money according to their policy (?) and provide no details on what is this policy? The property continues to have their listing on Hotel.com?? Why?? This is an outright scam and hotel.com is supportive of daylight robbery #expedia#hotel.com#zerocorporateresponsibility. Your business is built on people’s mistake on trusting you. You gleefully stepped away while you watch travelers get scammed. SHAME on you!

Lost 85€ free cancellation??

I made a reservation in Belgium on my Expedia app for a hotel in Thailand. Now my creditcard was charged on Singapore Dollars. I could cancel the booking (because I choose another date) without any costs, but at the end I was credited nearly 85€ less. I do not understand why I was changed in Singapore Dollars when making a booking on the Belgain app. It seems that the 85€ are credit card charges. They are not refunded even with a "hassle free cancellation"

Horrible Experience! I got basically robbed!

Horrible, Horrible! I got basically robbed! The staff of Expedia lack of knowledge cost me extra fees on my bookings. they just like to blame airlines but basic, very basic knowledge they don't have, which cost me so much! Stay away from Expedia!

Their booking could not be changed…

Their booking could not be changed online even though it was advertised as being flexible and able to change online. They gave me numbers to contact them that were invalid. I contacted one of the numbers, which was an outsourced team in Philippines and they said their system is broken. Then they referred me to another Expedia number, which was again invalid.

I have booked with Expedia many times… but never again!

I have booked with Expedia many times over the years, but they did show their true colors during the covid19 crises - that are obviously still going on. I had a booking for April 30, 2020, for a hotel in Phuket. When travel was stopped I asked for a refund. Then ended up calling them three times to ask when the credit will arrive. It never happened. Today, one year on I got in touch with them to see where they are at. They told me that I never made the cancellation and I will not get any credit whatsoever. Their customer service is absolutely crap and I will never book with them again!
