Amazing product

I am thrilled to say that the Wacky Robots set was the best gift I have ever given. I was looking for something unique to surprise my brother-in-law and his amazing family, which includes three curious and creative children of different ages. I also wanted a single piece gift that could delight the entire family and serve as an icebreaker for me, since I'm new to their environment as a Brazilian in a Slovak family. The Wacky Robots set perfectly fulfilled all my requirements. The set contains five different robots, each one teaching a different electronic component, and after giving the gift, we all selected one to build together as a fun family activity. Each learning achievement was celebrated, and we were thrilled when the robots came to life. I must mention the exceptional package, clear instructions, and unique visual details included in each set. They truly set this product apart. I would highly recommend the Wacky Robots set to anyone looking for an educational and engaging activity for the whole family.

Extremely well made kits!

We got one big kit (for the handheld gaming console) and the little robot kits… they’re wonderful! We’ve started the little robot kits and they’re very straightforward to put together and each one teaches a new concept. It’s our first time soldering so we were a little apprehensive but it went really well! We even managed to solder one item in the wrong orientation and then turn it around (although I would not recommend doing this if you can avoid it lol). But all in all an awesome experience and we can’t wait to make more.

Very collaborative team

Very collaborative team, easy to access. Gave me a second chance in my decision, plus everything went smoothly regarding the payment. Highly recommend the robots. Very good user experience

fantastic products, missing learning opportunities

I have the CircuitPet and find it excellent. I'm gonna buy other crates for sure, or even pay for an annual subscription. The assembly process is good, but there's no info about what you're doing, so you don't really learn about electronics. What is the value of the resistors and why, why are they placed there, what function they perform? When soldering the RGB led I was lost into what legs went where. There's no info about what is each leg (R, G, B and negative) and where they actually go. The indications are generic and devoid of explanation. I sent an email asking about and the answer in short was "It doesn't matter in what order you solder the LED's legs.", and it might be true (a mystery for me since in principle you cannot mess with the negative leg position), but I believe there's an education opportunity lost there. It shouldn't be just about learning to soldering, that's not learning electronics. A similar feedback goes for the programming part. Although here there are interesting options and the software (circuitBlocks) is very good, and it comes with good basic examples that you can modify, when it comes to try to create something similar to the original firmware, there's an abyss. There should be ways to learn how to build your own pet, either by putting more advanced examples, that actually have sprites that behave, or by allowing to access the original files to make modifications. It seems that the overall process is: soldering, assembling, playing with the built toy. I think there are many amazing education opportunities in the electronics and programming sides that you should need to explore. A good reference is of course KiwiCo crates, which I’v been building with my kids. The instructions that come with the crates are not just about how to assemble the object, but about why things work, how to create variations, how to experiment. Context: I'm a mathematician, creative technologists, and educator (you can check a recent lecture I gave about education, science and creativity using technology: v=SkmE5vCZeG4 also my website moebio dot com) As said at the beginning: I'll continue buying your fantastic crates for me and my family, because they are beautiful products, and because I manage to find ways to build education experiences for my kids, but this is something that the instructions and building experience you offer doesn't really come with.

A Great Experience With My Son

My son enjoys learning what is underneath the hood of various electronic devices. Him and I have assembled computers, race cars and many other things but the best experience has always come from CircuitMess. More specifically, together, we built the Ringo and the Spencer. And it was time well spent. Not only was it a wonderful learning experience for him but it also created a good memory experience for the both of us.
