My husband ordered 8 cases ( 12 count canning jars a case) He got 8 single plain jars unknown type of glass. No invoice. No readable shipping label. No canning lid.com label or contact number. We researched reviews from other customers and found that it was a scam. So here we are senior scam. It's a shame our money went to a group of .....people sitting and laughing all the way to the bank.

Received full refund from PayPal

I fell foul of the same scam at canninglid.com that others here did. When the website was still available I purchased 18 cases of jars for $176.17. Many weeks after my purchase I'd not received anything but, using the tracking number, could see they had arrived in New York. The company was actually very helpful via email. Couple weeks later I received 3 boxes and a total of 18 jars. I reached out to the company again and they advised that this is what I'd purchased. I was positive that wasn't the case but of course the website is no longer available to verify and my receipt didn't specify quantities or units! Thankfully I found other reviews here and elsewhere to assure me I wasn't incorrect and that I had ordered cases (also that they were made in the USA and not originating from China as they in fact did). I politely protested to the company and they kindly offered me a $30 refund. This was appreciated but didn't really help since it meant I'd still be paying more than $7/jar. So I reached out to them again and they said I could have a full refund if I would return the 18 jars to an address in China. They advised I should be able to do this for around $20. I doubted this to be true but asked them to let me know which shipping company this would be with but they didn't respond to this. At this point I filed a claim with PayPal. This was quickly placed into a Resolved state because the company said I could get a full refund if I returned the items to China. The only choice I had was to provide shipping tracking information via PayPal. PayPal's site didn't allow me to respond but did allow me to add a note when supposedly providing shipping tracking info so I entered bogus shipping info and a note explaining that I'd not yet shipped the items back but would be happy to do so if the company could share with me how to for the $20 they'd estimated. Within 24 hours my claim had been denied. So I phoned PayPal, explained my situation to an agent and within 10 minutes the assessment had been flipped 180º meaning the case had been found in my favor and I will be received a full refund. I stated that: I'd seen reports similar to mine on sites like this; the original canninglid.com site was no longer available; my willingness to return the jars to a US address since the product had been advertised as coming from the US; my willingness to return the jars to China if I could be told how to do so for $20; the fact the jars were retailed per case but, as received, cost 12 x as much as genuine Ball jars etc. I strongly recommend anybody else in limbo doing the same because my thought is that if you speak to a PayPal agent and they perform a search on this company they will likely see my claim and deduce the same that you were scammed. Hope this helps others. Big shout out to PayPal for working with me on this to get a full refund. Thank you!

SCAM!

This is a total scam. I ordered 8 cases and it said 4 cases free and paid extra for 3 to 7 day shipping. After 3 weeks, I received 8 jars for $127.00. So I'm now 100 jars short on my order and waiting for a response.

BEWARE DO NOT PURCHASE

This is a lying, cheating, scamming company! Do NOT trust them or purchase anything from them because you will NEVER receive it. You are better off if you throw your money out on freeway than to order from them. Further more, PayPal does NOT help either. They will blame you and conveniently not be able to find your correspondence with them. Screenshot everything that you do with them because their message center is lousy.
