Glowing but long review of Cadbiry World. Today, I bought my 3 children (12, 8 and 2) here. For myself, husband and our 2 year old, it was our first time. I was meant to come here, some 28 years ago. So it's been a long time coming, as I am a huge Cadbury Chocolate fan! Today was also the first public attraction I have been too since being in a self propelled wheelchair, and I was so nervous! Disabled parking: plenty of disabled parking, although the metal bollards around the dropped curbs are a bit of a challenge and the dropped curb nearest the entrance slope is difficult to access due to a parking space. But it is doable. Reception: reception staff were fantastic today. I didn't get their names though. We were seen to quickly and were given our accessibility pass. Entrance into the magic: Due to the accessibility pass, we were able to get into the attraction pretty quickly and served by the lovely Hollie and Shaki (I really hope I have their name correct). They were both so lovely and a credit to Cadbury World. Accessibility lane: During the majority of the areas, the accessibility lane was fine, but at some parts, the pathway was so narrow due to the decorative features and I believe customers may have moved/knocked barriers around a bit. This lane was pretty much empty the entire time. Rides and attractions: I have to highly recommend the 4D chocolate adventure experience here because we all loved it. It is a ride that someone like myself with awful back problems could go on because it was so gentle but so fun. We were also greeted to the rise by the lovely Caleb as well who we saw throughout the day and asked us if we were having a good time. And the new lazer ride was really good. The only thing I'd say is it's too short. It's so much fun that you want to go on it more than once. Overall, as a disabled customer, I felt so included, staff were just lovely and so helpful. The entire premises is disability friendly, more so than anywhere I've been before. And the children's outdoors area is so clean. I commented on how clean and tidy the floor was by the bench area. There is definitely scope to add more attractions which I'd love to see in the future. But I loved it here. And you really do have some of the best staff and customer service. Unfortunately, and nothing to do with Cadbury World, my two older children became unwell. Staff were quick to help and also grabbed us bags for our long drive home back to Somerset. Big shout out to Lilly for helping. My eldest son begged me to pop a little appology in here, as he was so upset he'd been ill here but also in front of other guests and worried he'd ruined their day. Bless him. Sadly, we didn't get to eat at the restaurant due to this. Hopefully we can return soon and enjoy the day properly without illness. Jade. X

Expensive but worth doing. Grandchildren learned a lot about chocolate. Too much money to do again.

Despite the poor reviews on here making me fear I had made a big mistake booking a day trip to Cadbury World, I can honestly say that we had a great day there on April 12th. I took my daughter and two grandchildren who are 5 & almost 7. Admittedly they were not interested in the history of cocoa beans, but they did play a little with the screens and did listen as we explained a few facts. They liked the benches which moved when we were learning about making chocolate powder. They spent ages writing their names with chocolate and drawing flowers, stars etc… and they had a go at tempering chocolate too. They enjoyed the ride and shooting at the screens to gain points although this only lasted a couple of minutes. They loved the 4D roller coaster ride and the outdoor play area and the 3 free bars of chocolate that we each got.We took our own lunches and there were enough seats for us to eat at outside as the cafe is quite pricy. We spent over 4 hours there and had to drag them away. The staff were all friendly and helpful and it was both educational and fun. The silly high pitched voices of the cocoa bean nibs (I think they were called) were awful and nobody listened because it was impossible to understand, so that definitely needs changing, but that’s my only real negative.
