By now 90% of my wardrobe is from C21. I always seem to get lucky and find great bargains. This time it was no exception. Every January C21 is having their semi-annual Clearance sale, where most merchandise is up to 85% off. Personally, I prefer to go to the Westbury location ( less than 1 hr drive from New York City) because the place is not packed, it’s always calm, free of crowds of tourists and very spacious, unlike downtown location with many floors of madness. I head to the men’s department and go through the racks piece by piece ( yes, it takes time), I usually look for European designers, which means high quality and perfect fit. This time I got lucky, once again, and here are some examples: I found on a totally random rack a Zara sweater that retailers for $50 for $7. Then, I found 2 wool sweaters by Italian brand Brooksfield, retailing for $295, for $34 each ! Also, 2 pairs of beautiful pants by German brand Baldessarini. Retail price $150, my cost ....unbelievable $13 !! An Italian cashmere knitted beanie hat: retail price $85 for $10. I was also looking for a gift for 2 ladies. I got one Desigual blouse for$35 and....the most unbelievable find of all...a beautiful silk oversized scarf by Spanish luxury brand Loewe. On their website it’s retail price is $690 and my cost was....$41, that is a steal of a deal! So, to all those who don’t think C21 is a place for bargains, I say :”think again “. If you know what you want and have enough patience and time, you can find amazing things.
