Unfortunately when ordering our goods there is no legal requirement for Burleigh to inform the consumer which risible UK delivery service (ie the cheapest) they use. This information is only supplied after the transaction is completed. I knew this was going to be bad when I found out it was DPD. After being told by text and email the day of our delivery, guess what? DPD delivered it two days early when we were out (the text to say it was to be delivered was about 30mins before they did). The parcel never got redelivered and was returned to Burleigh which refused to resend it to us. All we got was a refund and a relative didn't get their birthday present set. BTW if you love smarmy, then you'll just love Burleigh's pointless jobsworth customer service. And if you want a "will it, won't it" delivery experience then go ahead and spend over £50 online at Burleigh for free delivery. It certainly won't be mine again.

This company are disgraceful. I placed an order nearly THREE MONTHS AGO and have still not received it. When I contact their customer services, they send a lazy copy and paste reply. I can’t get any information or help. I’d hoped to start collecting Burleigh pottery, but will never buy anything from them again. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Absolutely terrible! I am a Burleigh Collector and usually purchase from their factory shop in Stoke, however, due to Covid-19 restrictions meaning we are unable to travel, I had to purchase (for the first time) from their website- For anybody contemplating ordering online with Burleigh, don’t bother! All items are supposed to be handmade to order and thus can take many weeks to arrive, I was, therefore, very suspicious when my order arrived within a matter of days! I unpacked my order to find that all of the Calico dinner plates dispatched had faults in the glaze (these were first quality items, not seconds), naturally I wasn’t over the moon about this, but what really disappointed me was the blasé attitude of the customer services member that I spoke with to report this- these pieces are very expensive, you would not expect to pay the kind of money Burleigh charge for their items and have them arrive looking like seconds, but what you definitely wouldn’t expect is the attitude I encountered when reporting this issue. The faulty goods were collected, but I’ve had to fight to get my refund and was offered no form of goodwill gesture, and barely a half hearted apology! Not the kind of service anyone would expect from Burleigh, I’m disgusted, especially when I think of all the money I have spent with them over the years.
