I highly recommend the British Acting Academy. When I wanted to book RP lessons with Gary they were very quick to get back to me and to organise the lessons. The RP lessons I have had with Gary have been excellent, and I feel I have improved lots within only three lessons. Gary is kind, extremely knowledgeable and with a keen eye for detail. His feedback is always constructive, and he makes sure you get the most out of every lesson. I can't wait to book more lessons with Gary!

I have done a couple of workshops with PBAA now – both with Gary – and they have been brilliant. I left my sessions knowing exactly what my strengths as an actor are, what I need to work on, and (most importantly) how to take the next step towards achieving my acting goals. I never felt talked down to, despite the huge level of experience and insight Gary had, and felt like I had a lot of input as to how I would like to progress as an actor. The value I received was well worth the money I paid, and I had a fantastic time doing the sessions. The booking process was easy and straightforward, and Mark was really helpful and quick to respond when I had any queries. I would thoroughly recommend PBAA and will continue to use their services, in fact I have booked a few more sessions right now!

I did a brilliant line-learning workshop the British Acting Academy put on last week with a memory expert, and I’m thrilled to say I’ve already put my new skills into practice for an audition I had to learn 2 lots of sides for in about 2 days! I cannot wait for the follow up one to see how I can take this further to learn whole scripts. I recommend this course to anyone who’d like to be able to quickly commit information to memory. As soon as I started working with Gary I knew that if I wanted to progress as an actor it would be with his expertise, knowledge and enthusiasm. He has been able to fill in the gaps I knew I had in my training through group workshops, one on one sessions and clear and precise theory classes. From day one you are treated as a professional and are encouraged to work as one. You never feel you can't ask a question and he will always ensure you understand the answer. The online classes have been such a success, the relaxed structure works so well that you soon forget you are not all in the same room! If you don't become a better actor after training with Gary you never will.

As a relative beginner to acting, I find myself lucky to have Gary as one of my first teachers. A lot of beginner mistakes I have made have been swiftly corrected by Gary's analytical approach to teaching. He is precise to the point where you will be able to pull off an entirely alien approach to a scene that you have been preparing prior, and in the space of a single session. This is because Gary takes care to annihilate any faults in your performance, but actively encourages you to go crazy with imaginative ideas in the drafting and rehearsing stage - to draw out those very flaws, specifically so he can explain to you why they don't work - as well as to highlight the merits, so he can explain how they can be even further improved upon. This makes lessons not only informative, but enjoyable, as you are allowed to be creative. This professional, but relaxed approach creates an environment which ensures that each session is not a chore to get through, but something to look forward to.
