It was necessary for us to book special assistance at Bristol Airport when my husbands mobility lessened. We were flying with Easy Jet who were really helpful and advised us of the process. We arrived at Bristol Airport and followed instructions to the Easy Jet Special Assistance area. From this point Bristol Airport staff took over providing a wheelchair and a happy, pleasant Attendant who led us through all of the various processes necessary to board our flight including providing a lift to the Aircraft. Returning to Bristol we experienced a similar high standard of service. Thank you to Bristol Airport, we really appreciated this service. Of course we sat on Aircraft whilst other passengers dis-embarked but surely this was to be expected as people with mobility problems are usually slower. However the good news was that we reached the carousel at similar time!

I flew to Edinburgh from Bristol I used the assistance service due to mobility issues. I was treated like a queen, nothing was to much trouble, arrival at Edinburgh was the same excellent service. On return Edinburgh to Bristol was a bit of a maze finding the assisted service at Edinburgh was hard work, lots of walking.But once I found them the service was excellent. On arrival at Bristol I was met by a lovely lady who took me into baggage claim, the 5th star was lost here, my helper radioed for someone to help push me and bring my large suitcase, which I felt was sensible. A man who was arrogant,and very very rude arrived, he ignored myself and the other customers around him, his first words were "problem" and some shoulder shrugs!!! The lady helping me explained the help she needed, he then walked away shaking his head. This was witnessed by 19+ customers. I asked the lady if he was always so rude infront of customers, she felt he wasn't always. She was very embarrassed by this On his return he asked me if I had booked assistance service for my journeys, I was sat in a wheelchair with a walking stick in my hand!!! He then collected my luggage and I was taken to the drop off point, through out this he never spoke to me once! One bad apple is all it takes!!!! This was the 1st time I have used this service as I try very hard to be independent, but the distance I would have had to walk was undo able

Well,what a difference from when I was last here a few weeks ago! Courteous and smiling security staff, same for all staff in fact and all at 4.15 on a frosty morning. Well done, such a better experience

Very helpful security staff and absolutely no delays on our journey through the airport. However, we did book and pay for'fast track' security which was not avaible when we arrived at 03:30, as advised by Bristol Airport. It was stated by staff that it did not open until 04:00, so we paid £10 for a service that the airport had no intention of providing.
