In real world usage, for a best case scenario like a large single file coming from a PCIe 4.0 NVME drive, I've found gen 3.2 vs gen 3.2 2x2 (I think I have my standards correct here) external SSDs interfaces performances are 1050MB/sec sustained (the drive's interface to the USB port is the bottleneck for the Samsung T7) write vs about 1700MB/sec sustained write for the Crucial X10 Pro (the drive itself is the bottleneck). For all other interfaces and for transferring lots of smaller files, both drives are bottlenecked by the random read speed of the other device (e.g. a full backup of my games install NVME drive that has over half a million files, reads from the device at around 800MB/sec). For me, I do occasionally transfer 2 single files totaling around 3TB directly from a PCIe 4.0 NVME drive, so the time and electricity savings were worth the small premium to me to go with the Crucial X10 Pro over this drive.
TLDR: Unless your use case is writing a single, large file from a PCIe 4.0 NVME drive, you'll likely not notice a difference in performance between this drive and a faster gen 3.2 2x2 drive. Also, the Crucial X9 Pro uses TLC NAND, so it should perform better and last longer than a lot of cheaper drives on the market in general.

I mean, in the entire world, is there anyone better with customer-centric options and support than Amazon and B&H? I hit a technical glitch applying for the Payboo card, so I called in. Superb support and creative brainstorming to find a way to come to a workable solution. I will, of course, always buy my gear at B&H (and sometimes Amazon).

I have been waitlisted on a product forever. It finally was back in stock - I ordered and the shipment was delivered but not to me. I was refunded the amount and the item was again on back order. It is finally back in stock and I used my giftcard in hopes that it may reach my sweaty, anticipatory hands. Thanks.

Always have what I'm looking for, easy to navigate site, good prices, reliable on time shipping...simply the BEST!

everything was easy to find, Canadian dollar shown as a guide.

I m a new photographer but wanted a nice set up. Sam saved me $1600. and he suggested a better fit. This is my second Canon from B&H. Best image making store anywhere.
