Bax gave a very good service but missing a trick with this model. If bax had priced this at £100 and fitted better machine heads and given it a laurel fingerboard it would have demolished the competition. As it is it's good. The neck with it's jumbo frets feels authentic, the p90 pickup is excellent. It plays and sounds close to the real thing which is multiples more expensive. The problem with poplar for a fingerboard is it needs sealing and may not withstand the heavy use and bending this style of guitar is known for over time like rosewood. Laurel is cheap and tough and would have been a much better choice at this price point. On mine one of the bridge posts was badly drilled, it was simple to fix this with epoxy adhesive but also a simple quality issue that could have been easily remedied in the factory. The machine heads were literally unserviceable and luckily I had a decent set in the parts drawer. I still consider it a great buy, the pickup alone was worth the price of the guitar, but as I said if the price was £100 the machine heads better and the fingerboard laurel this would have been a total killer guitar
