Last Aldi Reviews from Trustpilot

My neighborhood Aldi in Old Hickory Tn is wonderful! We have shopped in Aldi outlets all over the country and in parts of the UK. The store items are as to be expected in most Aldi markets. What makes the difference here is the people. We have shopped there since it’s opening and know the manager and employees. Many have moved on but several are still there. Friendly, helpful and the store is always clean. Great place to shop.

This is a review on the Aldi store brand Simply Nature Organic Honduras single origin whole bean coffee. I purchased a 12 ounce bag for $6.39 US. This coffee came packaged in a resealable Mylar foil bag with a standard degasing valve. The package had all of the important information about the coffee inside, like country and region of origin, growing altitude, roast date, bean and roast type and basic brewing instructions. Upon opening the bag the fragrance of the whole beans was quite pleasant. Inspecting the beans I found a high-quality bean roasted to a perfect medium roast in my opinion. There was however a lot of sediment/broken beans at the bottom of the bag. This coffee is one of the freshest I have encountered in a supermarket, the roast date was 3/26/2024 with an expiration date two year in advance 3/2026. I ground 50 grams to my normal one notch course of medium on my Bodum Bistro burr grinder, again this coffee had a very pleasant fragrance. This 50 gram dose was brewed with 1.2 liters of cold filtered water in a Melitta Vision Luxe automatic pour over coffee maker. The aroma from this coffee was very pleasant but typical for a Central American single origin with notes of chocolate and roasted nuts. Upon cupping I found this coffee to have the same aroma, tasting this brewed coffee I found bright acidity, and a somewhat thin mouth feel not exactly tea like but close. I got flavor notes of milk chocolate and a slight walnut taste and astringency. This coffee was smooth on the palate with a medium lingering nutty aftertaste and no bitterness. The SCA rates coffees with a cupping score of 80 or higher as specialty grade coffees. Using their scoring system I rate this coffee at 84.50. This Honduran coffee brewed a very pleasant cup of coffee and at the Aldi price of $6.39 per 12 ounces it is hard to beat. I would recommend this coffee for anyone looking to explore the specialty coffee market without breaking the bank, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a solid everyday cup. I highly recommend.

Best food prices around and quality is just as good or better than the big brand names. Love this place!

Plymouth MA. store is great. I understand the issues of off market items. Consider this. Walmart's own line of products are off line. I'm a picky shopper. If Aldi's doesn't have it, (I'm fortunate in this aspect), I can walk from that Aldi's parking lot to Walmart or Market Basket. Hate Market Basket. Reminds me of my teen days working for Stop and Shop. Good fish mart though. Oh. One other thought. Aldi's line of vitamins are produced in a GMP facility. It states it on the bottles. That a big deal to me. Should be to you. Shows they're making an effort to maintain quality in manufacturing. From floor to ceiling everything in the building is monitored, recorded, filed and traceable. Wish I saw that on more products. Make more companies accountable for their actions.

I worked at an Aldi for over two years. The Aldi Finds aren't always a deal, but their food prices are the best in town. My coworkers were amazing! We all did our very best. The customers were mostly wonderful. My job was meaningful. But I never felt I had the time or people to accomplish what was expected of me. Self-checkout didn't save us time because corporate then cut hours. I would have chosen more workers and hours over a raise every time! Stress takes a tax.
