Alamo Car Hire – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

I reserved the car on line and collected it from Stansted airport. The check in was smooth and quick and the member of staff extremely polite and helpful. The car was great - exactly what I reserved and new with low mileage. The return was quick and problem free and again the staff member was polite and kind and confirmed my deposit would be returned immediately. I cannot rate the Stansted airport branch of Alamo highly enough. I will use them again without hesitation.

We rented a car in U.S. whilst in Yellow Stone park it developed a CV joint knock. As we still had week to go, couldn't get any sense from phone numbers. So took the car to Boise in Montana, who staff were helpful gave us temporary car for day then had to go back next to pick up a similar vehicle to what we had rented. Then came the kick in teeth as they charged us fuel at excessive rate for saving them a fortune if car had broken down in middle of no where. UP DATE. Alamo have since been back in touch and re-credited fuel, and gave me a discount off rental for inconvenience. Got to admit for a big company was surprised so now give them 5 stars.

We arrived a little early for our rental car at Gatwick airport. The young man ( didn’t get his name) was friendly and efficient. We had a lovely upgraded car and no problems the whole 2week trip.

A smooth experience renting a car in Edinburgh with Alamo. I had the reservation before hand and the transint by the desk was a matter of 5 min. Everything was perfectly explained by the assistant (Rebekah). No problems with the car, everything was in perfect conditions with a clean and new car. Finally the returning process was also incredible fast and easy, over the fly the assistant reviewed the car and I got the deposit refund really fast. On the contrary I travelled in a group and the other part did a reservation with Sixt and during the pick up process they were for more than 20 minutes dealing with the assistant that was trying to sell a lot of extras, car upgrade and a lot of stuff trying to increase the price of the reservation. In comparison the experience with Alamo was really nice and smooth, for sure I will repeat in the future.

Palma airport collection of a Jeep SUV. Pick up was easy, staff were helpful, spoke great English, polite and allowed us to take time checking and photographing car for any damage. They encouraged it and showed us how it would be checked on return by them. Car was easy to drive, clean at pick up and very economical (we had for 10days in Mallorca and used everyday staying in Pollenca. We barely used 3/4 of a tank and did the airport runs in this too). Drop off was even easier than collection. Special mention to Oriol who again was very welcoming, talked us through the return checks and then explained the paperwork to hand car over. Very quick and efficient…and friendly! Was nice to have all staff smiling and happy to help as often think customer service is dead! Will 100% book with Alamo again for Mallorca car hire. Good value for money, friendly and supportive staff and easy collection and drop off.
