Ordered German beer (Bitburger Pils) for a very dear friend of mine, which was meant to be a surprise. Unfortunately, the delivery company did not even try to deliver the first time round, so what was meant to be a surprise did not end up being one: had to ask my friend to stand outside and wait for the delivery next time round to ensure he would get it. Calandra from Adnams responded proptly, and even offered a discount for a future order (despite this not being their fault, but the courier's). While I am still very wary of the delivery company, Adnams provided superb customer service. It is clear they care about their customers. And my friend is enjoying his beers. :-) Thank you! I am a regular customer of Adnams, either in their shops or online (plus their pubs of course) and never had anything to complain about. However my latest order wasn’t as smooth as it should have been. Ordered online for local delivery, which comes from their shop on Unthank Road. They quote 3-5 days for delivery and it normally arrives in 2-3, however on this occasion it has been over a week and nothing. So I rang customer services who called the shop, they informed me that they believed the order was currently out for delivery and the shop manager would call me back to confirm. 3 hours later and 15 mins before the shop shut and no call, so I called them directly to be informed my order was loaded in the van 30 mins ago so was on it’s way, so wasn’t out for deliver at all. It did however arrive shortly after 6pm, and it included 2 extra bottles of wine as an apology. I took from this that they had just missed my order completely and rushed to get it out to me that day. A few errors there but to make mistakes is human, it’s how you respond is what makes the difference and with 2 free bottles of wine that made my day.
