ADA Fruit – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

Fast shipping, great quality, no complaints here. I see a lot of people complaining about customer service, this is just a redistributor guys, they host multiple distribution centers hosted by separate people. Most of the hate seems pretty unwarranted. Its a small business guys. That is supporting open source, give em a break. They aren't no google.

I've been buying Adafruit stuff for years. Usually trough other stores than directly from adafruit. The products are all very well documented and kept reasonably up to date. They're a fun company, an okay community and they make fun video's on youtube about their products. The one time I've ordered at adafruit though, they listed each item as a separate item which made the import tax skyrocket. That was completely unnecessary. Even the free product ended up costing me more lol. Glad they didn't include a sticker, because that would have been charged for as well. I tried making clear to Adafruit that the high import costs were really unnecessary if they'd only list their products differently. But it's a bit of a bother. I just took the hit to my wallet and decided to be happy with the awesome and reliable products. Which in the end is more important to me than aftersales.

I have been buying all sorts of Adafruit's sensors and peripherals for years. My favorite is the Trinket M0. It's a postage stamp sized micro computer with 5 I/O, one of them a DAC with a true analog output. It cost about $8 US Dollars and some change. It comes with Circuit Python installed on it. You plug it into a USB port on your PC and it shows up like a tiny thumb drive. Then you copy your Circuit Python code (a subset of full-up Python) in a text .py file and it runs the code. No complier, it runs automatically. I introduce my Summer STEM students to microcontrollers using it. It is very easy to use, versatile, and inexpensive. If you want more power from the Trinket M0, you can write code in ArduinoC/C++ and use the Arduino IDE to program it.

Shipped a pic that stopped working after half a week, as soon as I made a support ticket they reached out. Amazing service, and they replaced it at no charge with offers to pay for whatever shipping most suited my needs. Would order from again!

All you people making negative comments and trying to downgrade Adafruit Industries are you for real? Havent you read this simple notice by Adafruit? I thought this notice is visible even to the blind! PLEASE NOTE: Adafruit does not have a retail store, orders cannot be picked up. NO VISITORS ARE PERMITTED. Our factory is not available for visits. You are not dealing with Adafruit . Rather those technical forums some of whom don't give a damn about your problems. Lady Ada and her team are working vigorously for the open source course. Adafruit has written hundreds of very useful code for us. I personally feel forever grateful to this wonderful American company. Yes led by a female.
