I ordered a product from the store, but accidentally received the wrong version. After writing this, they very quickly took full responsibility of this and sent me the right version and allowed me to keep the wrong version as well. Incredibly well and quickly resolved! Highly recommended!!

Awful customer service avoid at all costs!
Awful customer service my item, due in one to two days still not dispatched after a week. Hopeless communication, totally useless it seems.....things going from bad to worse. These guys have no idea what they are doing. DONT use them is my advice, they take your money and deliver nothing! Read the other reviews people waiting months for refunds!

I pre-ordered payment issue
I pre-ordered an item plus a Hoodie that was currently in stock. The Hoodie was sent and charged to me but 8 months later the pre-order is finally available after delays but there is a problem with the payment as they can’t now charge the authorised PayPal which I would prefer to use. It’s not asking me to use a card when I go in to the account to resolve the payment BUT its trying to charge me the full amount, including the Hoodie I’ve already received. no one is getting back to me and I don’t know what to do. Should I just cancel?

Disgraceful tbh
I’ve seen many people waiting months for their items. I’m sorry I’m leaving this after FIVE! I needed my items for Dec 20th and was under the assumption they’d be dispatched days ago. Still waiting to be dispatched and no responses from them at all. I will be going through PayPal for a refund, if its not been dispatched before Christmas! I’m not waiting forever. Don’t email me about something I wanted a release date for, if you’re not even gonna dispatch it.
Edit: 27/12 - STILL NOT DISPATCHED!! I got a generic email saying there is a delay 10 DAYS AFTER I ORDERED! I’m going through PayPal now!

Bad customer service - Avoid ordering
Placed an order over a week ago. Was meant to have arrived by now but ive heard nothing. No message to say its delayed or nothing. Tried contacting customer service multiple times and I've heard absolutely nothing. Anyone considering ordering is advised to avoid this place at all costs as they seem to only dispatch your orders or reply to your messages when they feel like it.
My christmas presents will now not arrive on time and no doubt someone will reply to this saying "we will pass your feedback on" and absolutely nothing will be done about it.
Used to like Zavvi but im gonna start ordering from more reputable places.

Edit: I made the mistake of providing my order number hoping I would get a resolution but no. There is no customer service phone number to contact so i have to use their messaging service on the website. It takes DAYS at a time to get a response and im fed up.
I tried to cancel my order via the website but it now says "Unable to cancel order, there are no cancellable products." even though nothing has been dispatched still. Because of this, ive tried to contact customer service again but im not holding my breath.
I'm seriously starting to think zavvi have gone rogue so I think if anyone is in the same position as me, raise this as fraud with your bank as a quicker resolution.

Placed order 4.12.24 and items have still not been dispatched. Contacted customer service twice to ask when order will be posted out as their website states 2-3 days... it's been 10, and just keep getting the same automated response. Very disappointing and frustrating as these are Christmas gifts which likely won't arrive on time.

Generic copy and paste responses
I have shopped with Zavvi for many years, i have bought t-shirts, steelbook's, blurays, collectibles and not often had an issue.
Recently they seem to take forever to send out items i order, Quick to take the money but takes weeks to ship the item out as it usually gets stuck in “Awaiting Dispatch” when i email customer service i get copy and paste responses saying “It will be sent swiftly” and then another few says later its still “Awaiting Dispatch”.
I was waiting 6 months for an item last year, and when i conatcted Zavvi they said they were waiting on the item to arrive even though on their site it said In stock.
The way they do business nowadays and they way you are fobbed off is unacceptable.
My wife used to use them a-lot also but she gave up after a string of bad experiences 2 years ago.
Avoid for your own sanity.

"Experiencing delays"
Ordered Christmas jumpers prior to an event under the false impression that Zavvi delivery is 2-3 working day. Zavvi were unable to provide a date for dispatch or delivery date. When contacted through the appropriate channels, I received a generic "we are experiencing delays" message unrelated to my order. Zavvi are extremely quick to take payment. Since my purchase, Zavvi are offering 24 hour delivery however considering the information received regarding delays I can only assume that this is also misleading the consumer. This isn't the first time I have experienced this service from Zavvi and can safely say I will not be using again.

It's 2024 and a well known company yet can't ship items within a reasonable timescale. Placed an order within plenty of time to receive before going on holiday and were now 2 days away without it even being shipped. I've contacted twice to stress the deadline I need the order for and received the same nonsense replies about warehouse delays and it will be with me as soon as possible. Wish I'd have read recent reviews here before ordering. How hard can it be to pick, pack and post a simple order? Really really poor service and will never order from Zavvi again. Can see why their stores went under. No doubt I'll receive it whilst on holiday although I wouldn't be surprised if I never receive it.
UPDATE: Following the reply to this review from Zavvi. A team member did contact me and promised the order was almost ready and would be posted that day. It was not posted and I have cancelled the order. Shambolic service.

Don't pre-order through Zavvi
Never pre-order an item through this company. You won't receive it on the day nor will they give you an ETA of when you'll receive the item.
Last time I shopped with Zavvi was almost 10 years ago. I remember at the time I also had to cancel my preorder because Zavvi just doesn't fulfill these or care. They just want your money with the least amount of effort given. I see nothing has changed despite giving them the benefit of the doubt this time.
Customer service will tell you one thing then say another thing in a follow-up message a few days later. I was told my pre-order item was in stock and that it would be shipped over the weekend. Come Monday where I asked why it hasn't been dispatched to then be told "your item isn't technically out of stock, but it isn't in stock either" and couldn't give me any details of when I'd receive my item.
Don't shop here. You're just wasting your own time. Seriously, don't shop here.
Also I'll just add this. Zavvi, don't reply to my comment on here because I don't care for your lipservice. I won't be using Zavvi again. So instead of wasting time replying to me, spouting the typical PR lipservice of "bla bla we want to help bla" maybe email your greedy Execs to pull their fingers out and actually do something and invest in the companies infrastructure instead of raising prices, claiming it's inflation and buying 3 more yachts.

Customs and availability issues in the past , now ?
I just ordered a pre order steelbook The killing joke. Two things : 1 I hope the information is correct on the site and that there are no extra cost for shipping to Belgium, in the past this had me decided not to ship with zavvi anymore cause all the hazard to get some money back was really to much.
Secondly I hope I get the steel ook , in the past I had several pre orders and they just didn’t send it because out of stock ! So how did you do ? Let s see in September ?

Ordered items for 2 day delivery on 5th…
Ordered items for 2 day delivery on 5th June. Still haven't got anything. Was told it would be dispatched as a matter of urgency by customer services a week ago. Still nothing. Communication is awful they don't tell you anything and every time you answer their vague response it takes another 24 hours for them to reply. Will NEVER buy from them again and will be telling everyone I know not to either. Scam artists. Avoid!!!!!

Poorly functioning site and very late shipping
Took several attempts to actually checkout. It was incredibly frustrating.
Worse still, it’s been a week and my order hasn’t even shipped. Despite every item being “in stock”.
I won’t bother again. This is 2024 and they can’t even dispatch an order on time. Their explanation has basically been nothing but a shrug of the shoulders.
Do not use if you are in a rush to get something delivered
