Best customer service I have experienced. They answered all my questions and were very responsive and helpful. I am so glad I chose this company's bike as initially I was nervous ordering online. This bike is advanced in every aspect. I briefly rode the bike and I love it as well as it has a unique design. Waiting for weather to get warmer to fully test it for a long journey fingers crossed. The digital screen is very nice and well integrated with a smooth look. I was debating between another company's bike but didn't like their dot matrix screen, which looks cheap, so glad I chose this one instead. I also like the belt gear rather than the old style chains. Will definitely order from them in future as the need arises.

I like this bike even more every time I ride it.
I am a 60's-something female rider/commuter/enthusiast that is on a bike almost everyday. I spent a lot of time researching to find the bike that fit my preferences and the City Vanture ticked all the boxes. I was looking for peddle assist - many trails don't allow throttle bikes on them. Something light weight - if the battery dies before the ride is over, I still have to ride the rest of the way home. I don't want to lift a 50+ pound bike onto a rack to get to a trail! I didn't need or want fat tires - I enjoy the nimbleness of a thinner tire like my road bikes and hybrids. The belt drive is silent and smooth - no more missed shifts, stuck chain in the gear, or "tatoos" on my leg. There has been an increase in my area for stolen E-bikes so the batteries hidden in the down tube are my stealth solution. The power screen is super easy to read and I don't need a separate computer anymore.
And the color is the icing on the cake for me. Neon purple ROCKS. That was my chick moment.
Customer Service with Vanpowers also impressed me. After reading some of the negative reviews, I had some hesitation but Judy and Evelyn were prompt and professional with answering questions. Evelyn took extra steps to help me with stock and color choices and I ended up with a ride that my group is envious of!
My City Vanture arrived within about three days and I was super pleased with the packing. NOTHING was pinched, broken, scratched or missing. The rear assembly was already complete which made the rest of the assembly clear and simple. I did it myself. Just read and follow the included manual.
What have I changed? Picky things that make this ride just for me. A wider platform pedal with cleats since it will be primarily my commuter bike. A shorter gel seat. I won't usually be in a pair of biking shorts. A quick release clamp on the seat post - different clothing and shoes affects that and I don't want to have to carry tools with me to make that adjustment. The tires are fine but I will probably change them over to a Continental Gatorskin - it's just a personal preference.
One last thing - I'm 5'6" with longer legs so the fit is fine. Take the time to read the very detailed measurements chart before you think it's too big for you.
So, yeah. Totally diggin' the ride. I may have to get one for my boyfriend to keep him off of mine!

Superb Service
I bought the City Vanture, which unfortunately has been discontinued in Europe. I've already ridden more than 2,500 km with my bike, and I really like it. Recently, I had some issues with my rear wheel, so I reached out to customer support. They were extremely helpful and informed me that my rear wheel needed to be replaced. Now, a new rear wheel is on its way to me, free of charge. Superb service!

Evelyn from Vanpower's email customer support exceeded my expectations. I'm a new e-bike owner. The Vanpower city is my first so I had a lot of questions and requests for recommendations and Evelyn delivered fast, professional and respectful responses.
I've put 40 miles on the bike within the first week and are happy with the experience. I grew up on a "normal" bike in the streets of Copenhagen, Denmark where 60+% of the population commute on a bike and the infrastructure is optimized for bikes accordingly. Now I live in Seattle, eastside and while investments are being made in bike infrastructure there are still many roads that cars and bikes share and relative to Copenhagen it's much hillier here. My new Vanpower city bike make it easy to overcome the hills and the hydraulic breaks helps me feel safe. It's a great looking bike - not so bulky as other more powerful e-bikes and I the bike get nice compliments.
I'm 57 and expect this bike to serve me well into my sixties at which point I may need a bulkier but more powerful battery support - basically it's not a bike but rather a scooter type experience where you don't have to pedal at all.

I purchased an Urban Glide Pro e-bike…
I purchased an Urban Glide Pro e-bike in May 2024, and noticed clicking noises whenever pedaling was required. Vanpowers customer service, especially Judy, was most helpful. They walked me through possible causes and eventually I took a video with an audio recording. Concurrently I required unexpected surgery and although Vanpowers sent me parts, repairs were delayed 3 months because of the extended recovery. When I contacted Service to report that the repairs did not resolve the issue, Judy facilitated a replacement e-bike that arrived in less than one week. I truly appreciated Vanpowers Service as exemplified by Judy. I highly recommend this company. And by the way the replacement Urban Glide Pro rides beautifully and without any clicking noise.

One of our bikes stopped working
One of our bikes stopped working, half way up a hill! After discussion with customer services, they sent me a new speed sensor and magnet. Plus, they videoed the work required to fit a new one and sent it to me. Didn't fix the problem. They then despatched a new motor. Fitting it was straightforward and the issue sorted.
Fantastic response from the company. Great after sales service. Thank you.

After giving this unsatisfactory review, I was contacted by ‘Jenny’. She offered have a leader/boss review my case and see about getting the rest of my money refunded. Not long after, I was asked for my PayPal information and I received the refund I wanted. I increased my rating from 1 star to three because if this. Ultimately I got what I wanted, but it took way too long to achieve. It sounds like people have had good luck with the e-bikes they buy from this company, but I still would not recommend the particular power supply I bought

I bought a VanPowerS branded solar power supply in July 2023. It arrived damaged and with a minor feature inoperative. I contacted ‘Adam’ to initiate a return, but he compelled me to keep the unit by offering a partial refund. Three months later, the unit stopped working completely. This unit is still under warranty. I have been in contact with a representative since January 2024 (Tyler?) No resolution, no offer to repair or replace the unit, and no offer to refund the rest of my money. The only suggestion I keep getting is to take it to a local repair shop to be fixed most likely at my expense, because no method of reimbursement has ever been suggested, even when I questioned it. There is a long time in between responses, too. I believe they are just trying to wait out the warranty at this point. I am extremely unhappy. I just want the rest of my money back. Buyer beware.
