I bought a Giorgio Gali S1 watch from Timex in 2023, within 6 months the automatic winding mechanism had broken. It took over 6 months (from Oct 2023 to April 2024) to deal with Timex before they sent me a replacement watch. Now, less than a year after I got the replacement, the exact same fault has happened again. There is a fault in the watch manufacturing and poor customer service.
I ordered several Timex watches last spring and tried on several different Expedition versions to find a great fit for me. Ultimately I selected the Timex Men's Expedition North Tide-Temp-Compass 43mm in brown/black/stainless. The battery died pretty quickly on the watch, that was a disappointment. I got less than 2 months of wear out of the watch before the battery life ended. I live in a rural area and watch support isn't readily available for pressure sealing watches. I've taken the watch to two different jeweler shops and have struck out on having the battery replaced. Most recently, a jeweler suggested to toss the watch because it was "discardable fashion" and "not a durable good". This was also pretty sad news. Currently I have a Timex Expedition with the back pate removed, but not reseated, after visiting a jeweler in Seattle as well as Port Orchard, WA. Sadly, I'd like to return the watch. Replacing the battery is a temporary solution to a unit that' difficult to service and even more challenging to find a service provider for. I have the receipt from purchase available and can confirm it's tragically virtually unworn. There've been several other Timex watches on my wrist over the years, this one seemed very promising and looks great but doesn't meet the challenge of basic wearability.
Timex support requests files to support warranty/repair claims, then the email server rejects them. Timex's AI email response ensured me my issue would be resolved, then was rejected by a customer service team member. Timex's watch arrived with partial life batteries and needs to be sent overseas to be repaired. The watch has been unwearable for the majority of the time I've owned it and two jewelers have rejected repairing it. The product and service is a sham. Support was unable and unwilling to resolve my issue. Timex is known for simple, affordable, and durable timepieces--this unit and the support has not lived up to that expectation and has been a disappointment and wasted expense. I'm very saddened by the response Timex has offered.

I am reaching out to express my deep disappointment with my first customer experience with Timex. The handling of my recent order issue has been frustrating and does not reflect a customer-first approach. I want to bring this to your attention, as I believe it highlights serious deficiencies in your customer service process.
To summarize:
I received a faulty watch with visible defects under the crystal.
My initial request for assistance was met with a generic response that lacked acknowledgment of the issue.
After providing images and clarifications, I was advised to return the product at my own expense—an unacceptable request given that the item was defective.
Upon further inquiry, I was eventually provided with a return label, but was then asked to repurchase the watch at full price before receiving a refund for the 20% welcome discount I had initially used.
This process is unnecessarily burdensome and time-consuming. As someone who works in the Customer Success space, I find it unacceptable that Timex expects a customer to go through such hoops for a resolution. The approach taken by your support team suggests a lack of genuine care for customer satisfaction, which has left me with no confidence in the brand.
I had intended to be a long-term customer, but this experience has made me reconsider. I urge you to review this case and take corrective action to ensure future customers do not face similar frustration. I would appreciate a prompt response with a reasonable resolution.

I recently bought an Expedition Tide-Temp-Compass watch from timex as a 21st Birthday present for my son. The watch cost £180.00
When the watch arrived, the packaging was damaged and the presentation box the watch came in was crushed.
I immediately emailed Timex Customer services asking for a new box Lid to be sent to me. They got back to me to say:
‘I will forward your request to the relevant team. They will do their best to assist you with getting a replacement box lid.
Thank you for your patience, and I hope we can resolve this for you promptly’…..
That was on the 18th of January, 12 days ago. In spite of my emailing them twice in the intervening time I have heard NOTHING from them.
It’s a real pity as the watch is lovely but their customer services are DREADFUL.
4/02/25 UPDATEDATE
Timex has finally got back to me to say they can't get me a new box lid but will re-fund me 20% of the original price of the watch as a 'Good will' gesture.
This made me laugh cos it's rather like me driving into your car then saying I will pay for the repair as a 'Good will' gesture!
Anyway, I will wait to see if I actually get any money back from them and post the outcome here. So..... Watch this space!

Timex had an unbelievable 50% off sale, so I bought two watches. They arrived together but one had a fault. I contacted Timex who issued a pre-paid postage label within an hour. Timex warranty is worthless
I bought a new Timex watch and started having problems with one of the chronograph function buttons within a few months. I sent it in for service about a month before the warranty expired. It sat at the post office for more than a month before they even picked it up. I tried to be patient, but after hearing nothing for a couple of months after they picked it up, I sent an email inquiring into the status. It seems to take them a week to respond, and all they say is wait for us to get back to you.
It's now been over 6 months and I'm still waiting. My last inquiry has gone unanswered for 6 days. I'm beginning to think I'll never see my watch again. I'll definitely never buy another Timex again.

Wish I gave it a goddamn zero
Like others say if they got a chance they would give a zero. Same here. I was so excited to own the Timex Marlin for 50% off it felt like the perfect watch for me. I had saved up money for that year to buy the watch. But that excitement turned to frustration when my order never arrived and still hasn’t!! Reaching out to customer service only added to the disappointment, as I got little or no help and no clear resolution. I then got a tracking number for ups but it says on their website they have no possession of that package yet!For a brand with such a legacy, this experience feels like a letdown. I wanted to love Timex, but this has left me questioning if they truly value their customers. Please please other customers watch out for these issues.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. The company describe an easy returns process but it is far from it. I bought a watch that was delivered promptly but unfortunately not suitable for the intended recipient. I then tried to organise return. Completely hopeless. Email responses are quickly made (presumably by AI) but, despite promising the generation of a return label the process is never completed. I have tried many times to contact a human without success. Avoid at all costs!!

Unexplained Delays
Unfortunately, my situation is the same as reported by many others. I ordered a watch on January 1, 2025, and received confirmation of order via email. They charged my debit card. Fast forward two weeks and nothing. I sent an email to customer service yesterday and received an "automatic" reply that they will investigate. Terrible customer service and I definately will not do business with Timex in the future.

If I could give it a zero rating I would.
December 14th I Ordered a watch and they promptly sent me an email confirming order and that they would send a follow up email when the item was processed and shipped. They also charged my card at that time. I never heard back from them and waited patiently. On Jan 6th I emailed them and was told they didn’t have that order in their system….they would look into it and get back to me. I waited a few days and never heard from them. I wrote back and asked to cancel the order and get a refund, still haven’t heard anything. Save your money!

I am still waiting for a watch I ordered on the 30th of December and have every sympathy with the other people who have left reviews on here. I too wish I had read these reviews first. It sounds like the 2-3 shipping time is a complete lie. I did get through to a telephone advisor but although it was confirmed that my order was ‘boxed up’ they were unable to confirm when that order would be collected by a courier and shipped, which is unbelievable.i imagine my order to be sat in a warehouse like the Arc of the Covenant at the end of Raiders Of The Lost Ark. The fact that you cannot cancel an order makes it even more frustrating.

Perhaps we are getting too used to…
Perhaps we are getting too used to Amazon type deliveries - i.e. next day. Our expectations of Timex certainly don't match Amazon's. I am still waiting after nearly two weeks for an order to move from "to be processed" to something more positive. An e-mail to customer help elicited a pretty useless response.
"While I wasn't able to pull up specific information about your orders currently, you can track their status here.
Most orders are typically shipped within 2 business days, but if you have any additional concerns or need further assistance, I will forward your request to the relevant team who will do their best to assist you."
I replied to Timex but have drawn a blank.
Like other customers I wish I had read the reviews on this site first.

Don't risk ordering anything on-line from them!
I really wished I read the Trustpilot reviews before ordering from Timex. I placed an order for a watch as a gift for an occasion, and 8 days later the order is still processing. They won't confirm when I can expect it to be despatched. I requested the order be cancelled and now they've stopped responding to emails altogether. The phone number on their website doesn't connect t anything. Shoddy, underhanded and deceptive business standards.

A lot of watch for the money

I was intially very disappointed but after having done some research on the web I'm now extremely happy with the watch. Based on my experience I would suggest that Timex gives some basic instructions about their solar watches and how they charge and work e.g the watch will not be charged at all when you receive it therefore the second hand will not move at all; once the watch has started charging by placing in sunlight or artificial light it will take some time for the second hand to begin moving and will move in two second jumps until fully charged, when it will start to move in one second increments. NB two second jumps indicate a low battery and that the watch needs charging.
It's a lot of watch for the money and handsome with it (though I'd like a little more luminosity in the dark, but you can't have everything), so something as simple as short instructions would mean people don't think they've got a dud!

Incomplete order on Christmas Eve
I should have read the online reviews on Timex before I ordered as they are terrible.
I ordered two watches as Christmas gifts and only one arrived. Timex charged me for both watches, sent me an invoice, and at no point let me know that only one watch would arrive.
The watch was delivered today on Christmas Eve and I'm missing a gift for a family dinner tomorrow.

Terrible inventory management if not outright deceptive practices
I’ve always admired Timex, but my recent experience with their handling of a limited-edition watch order has left me deeply disappointed.
I placed an order for a limited-edition watch that was marked as available on their website. After receiving a confirmation email, I eagerly waited for 10 days, only to be told via email that the watch was no longer available and my order couldn’t be fulfilled.
What makes this even harder to accept is that, while I was being informed my order couldn’t be completed, I saw others posting photos of the exact watch I ordered. It felt like my order was deprioritized or mishandled, which left me feeling excluded and undervalued as a customer.
Timex offered me a 30% discount for a future purchase, but given they already have 25% off sitewide, this felt like a token gesture rather than a meaningful resolution for the disappointment of missing out on a watch I truly wanted.
I understand mistakes happen, but the way this was handled—delayed communication, lack of proactive resolution, and an inadequate attempt to make things right—has left me questioning whether I’ll ever buy from Timex again.
I’m sharing this in hopes that Timex improves their inventory management and customer service. Loyal customers like me deserve better.

Poor all round
No notification that the company had cancelled my order without any information of a reason why. Customer service just passed me on to a dedicated department supposedly but no reply or communication as to which department or confirmation that they were dealing with the issue. Website is inadequate and when they say it’s 2-3 days delivery… it’s more like 6 because it takes them over 2 days to even dispatch your order
