I had high hopes for this GPS tracking device, but it turned out to be completely useless for our needs. The “find your phone” feature only works if you’re very close to the phone—defeating the purpose. The GPS tracking is equally disappointing, as it only records the location when you manually activate the Tile. We attached it to our son’s backpack, expecting to track his movement, but it didn’t work unless he activated it himself—making it pointless.

To make matters worse, customer service has been awful. I returned the product over two months ago and still haven’t received my refund. I originally paid with a card, but they insisted I provide a PayPal account for the refund. That was nearly a month ago, and I’m still waiting for my money.

Avoid this product—it’s unreliable, and the company doesn’t seem to care about its customers.

I loved my tile for the first 12 months, it always rang and I never lost my keys, then the free premium subscription ran out and it said the battery was permanently low even with new batteries, would sometimes work and eventually became a useless item so I'm going to try a different brand now. Unless you are willing to pay £29.99 a year for subscription it's useless

Disappointing Product & Terrible Customer Service

Useless without subscription at £29.99 a year

Appalling tileapp.com customer service

I paid $164 for premium protect for my car key and the Tile company has refused to pay the reimbursement I paid for. 30 emails over 4 weeks just kept repeatedly asking for verification and kept refusing to escalate the matter to a senior manager. Tile app has zero concern for customer satisfaction. It's been an appalling experience. I know of no other company that has so may 1 star reviews on multiple platforms.

My tile died a year early

My tile died a year early. I contacted support and was sent a "new" tile. I was unable to activate it because it was already registered to another account. I tested this by scanning the QR code on the back. It had indeed been reported as lost.

Tile Locator

This item it's just garbage. I bought mine at such a low price and on top of it the application is free and it's still sucks. I thought I'd be able to keep track of my daughter's vehicle ( for the only reason of theft mind you) lol.
She would make a complete trip, not a small one at that, and the location never changes. Once in awhile it might accidentally have a location spot that comes within a state or two but those instances are very rare. I had a MetroPCS smart ride prior to the Tile and that smart ride earned 5 plus Stars it was the awesomest told me when my vehicle needed maintenance tell me right where that vehicle was and you follow it and be right behind the person and it doesn't miss a beat. Tile I'd throw those things in the garbage if you owe them cuz they are garbage.
Don't buy them!
Don't look at them!
Don't even think about them!
They are no good!

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money. There are thousands of negative reviews on Tile and this is just another reason not to buy them. If you loose one and cannot find it or cannot retrieve it (I dropped one in a well) it becomes IMPOSSIBLE to remove it from your account. The only way to do so is to completely delete your account along with all other existing Tiles and start all over again. Ridiculous!

website is misleading claim one of their older products is still the "most powerful tracker, with the longest range". Won't accept responsibility for misleading website and cover return costs.

they should not be in business its…

they should not be in business its built on lies, half the time the application does not work and unless your standing on the product you never find it. It is totally useless. I have tile mate it uses a 1632 battery it last like a month and dead! Not to mention its a memory hog on your phone.

Cute device. Poor service. Regret.

Cute device.
App is poor. Constant upselling. Few useful features without hefty subscriptions.
Location tracking is set to be lame unless you ensure the app is on at all times draining battery and creating privacy issues.
They could have made this good. I regret buying these.

I HATE THIS PRODUCT AND SERVICE! ITS THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE!!!
They ALL STOPPED WORKING SOME TIME AGO. And as far as the coverage, I’m sorry the BS coverage there’s always something why I get ignored… it gets forgotten about. Or I didn’t fill something out or STILL have to fill something else out this time. They send me some bullshit that the Tile got lost before my
subscription started, which obviously cannot be, and it’s a date that they put in there not me.!!!’ THEY SUCK THEY SUCK THEY SUCK. And as far as date of experience as question below, it’s every day every day it doesn’t work no matter where I am. Know what Wi-Fi I’m on.
I don’t even want them to replace the item. I just want them to replace their shitty tile I mean really standby your product.

Doesn't sound a notification when phone connected to Bluetooth

The Tile I had attached to my medical bag was useless. When getting in my car, I'm still within range of my house, so I don't get any notification. However, by the time I'm out of range, my phone is connected to Bluetooth. Granted, I got the notification, but I wasn't aware of it because of the Bluetooth issue. I was 10 miles down the road before I checked I had my bag, which I didn't, so I had to turn round and go back and get it!

Rubbish

The app says battery is low, changed the battery, and now won't connect.
I wouldn't recommend. Just isn't long lasting.

Useless--It was n`t advertised as…

Useless--It was n`t advertised as sealed battery so that once the battery has died you need to buy another--
MAIN COMPLAINT is that the volume is so low that once it`s been put in a wallet/purse you cavn`t hear a thing! Location on map is only "nearby".
This is about as much use as tits on a bull!

Don't buy Tile tracker !

Waste of money thought I could track my motorbike if it got pinched or luggage if it got lost push bike if it got pinched etc it works upto 400 metres away WOW big deal don't bother with these Tiles.Make sure you purchase one with gps installed Tile don't make this very clear when selling .
