❤️ A big thanks to The Courier Guy and Makro for their excellent service. I ordered online and it came hassle-free and even faster than what was expected. Makro and The Courier Guy makes a perfect team. Thanks guys much appreciated.

Judge for yourself (I have emails to prove all the above if needed)

I signed up my first delivery as an express parcel. The actual charge was double what the 'quick' quote was, then a further 'small sum' of money went from my prepaid account. No explanation was given even when I wrote to them. My parcel sat with them (my 'express paid for parcel') four days before it was delivered to its destination - a cpt to cpt local destination. I tried contacting them (this was the worst part of my business dealings) and went from pillar to post. They'd say that they will escalate things, then the escalated contact made me repeat info, and they'd say they're escalating it, and the new person needed a repeat or it lead to a dead end. Over 20 emails later, nobody EVER got back to me about anything, i thought that they had lost my parcel when it came to four days of an express parcel. After things resolved and my parcel miraculously found its way to where it was needed, I got bombarded with more circular emails, also those who (had not) helped me before by escalating to other escalators. Worse business dealings I have EVER had and I used to sell oon Amazon and Ebay. Never again.

Really great service!

Over the last 18 months I have received many successful, on-time deliveries from Courierguy. Credit, where credit is due - these guys deliver! Literally.
I am also lucky to have really friendly delivery guys at the depot near me and I enjoy chatting with them when they visit.

Overnight delivery scam

For the second time I’ve used the overnight service to get my parcel delivered quicker from Gauteng to the Western Cape. When I phoned my local Courier Guy pick up zone the day afrer, the let me know that my parcel is still in Pretoria where the order parcel was collected the day before. What’s the use of giving an overnight option if the parcel stays at the same location overnight? Anyway, the lady at the local branch said that the overnight service only applies to regional deliveries. Why then have the option on your website to book the overnight option from Gauteng to the Western Cape, pay over R700 just to let you know that the option does not really apply. My expected date of delivery is 4 days from the collection date.

Utterly Disappointed with Courier Guy’s Handling and Customer Service

I am writing to express my complete dissatisfaction with Courier Guy. As a first-time customer, my experience has been thoroughly disappointing and unacceptable.

My parcel, which was sent under waybill number NB7RWQ, was expertly packaged with high-quality protective materials. Despite this, it arrived not only late, despite my having paid for early delivery, but also significantly damaged in three distinct places. This clearly indicates mishandling on the part of Courier Guy.

The customer service response to my complaints has been equally frustrating. I received unsympathetic, generic responses and was informed that the issue would be investigated internally by checking CCTV and speaking with staff. This approach is highly convenient for Courier Guy, offering me, the customer, no real transparency or independent recourse.

It is evident that there is a serious lack of accountability and customer focus at Courier Guy. The processes in place benefit the company and leave customers helpless and without a voice. Due to this experience, I have decided that I will not use their services ever again, and I caution others to consider this before choosing Courier Guy for their shipping needs.

Thanks to Nordin from Plettenberg Branch

My parcel had to be sent from Airport Durban (SA) to Plettenberg. Unfortunately the courier didn’t receive the package because my female name was used on the package and I used the name of my husband. Therefore the package got later tp Plettenberg than I hoped. Because we were on holidays and travelling around we stayed too short in Plettenberg to receive the package. Nordin , from the branch in Plettenberg, helped us very good and contacted us several times. At last he send it to our addres in Cape Town. We are very thankful with his kind care for the package and we will thank him again for his wonderful help and good care of our belongings!

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the outstanding service I received at your Paarl Branch from Clint and Chantel.

They were incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain and demonstrate the various apps that integrate with Pudo and the Courier Guy. They showed me how the Pudo app works seamlessly with other platforms, as well as its integration with online stores, making sending and receiving packages even more convenient. They also demonstrated how the Courier Guy service connects with other apps to track and manage deliveries.

What impressed me most was the thoughtful tips they offered for sending and receiving packages. They guided me through optimal packaging techniques, explained the various delivery options, and provided tips for ensuring safe and timely deliveries. They also took the time to explain different pricing structures and how to choose the best service based on timing and requirements.

While I was already familiar with the Courier Guy service, Clint and Chantel elevated my experience by providing in-depth insights into all the available features and making sure I understood every detail. Their knowledge and attention to detail were truly impressive, and I felt as though I received top-class service.

Their professionalism, helpfulness, and expertise made a significant difference in my experience, and I am truly grateful for their efforts. Please pass on my thanks to them.

Poor customer service and poor technology skills

Poor service and lack of technology skills, I was supposed to receive online parcel on the 21st Dec 2024 after ordering on the 17th Dec, was not delivered, yet the full address was given when ordering online. Very disappointed with their service. They are not technology ready. They should give other courier companies a chance because they don't know what they are doing? It's a mixed up of parcels with addresses. They must shut down

TCG gave me someone elses package, and lost mine.

TCG lost my delivery, and gave me somone else's package.
It seems that the barcode that they attached to the package was associated with me, but the package was not. So they gave me someone else's package, and my package to somone else. After multiple calls from me and the sender, the issue was never resolved, even though they took the package back. Tracking number BOBTGH4XH.

The best courier service ever.

Courier services rise like mushrooms, but only a few truly know what they are doing.
The Courier Guy is one of them.
Having invested in dispatch/delivery points in the most remote places (whether a kiosk or locker), the Courier Guy can deliver quickly and reliably. Their staff is amazing and always super friendly.
I normally receive a parcel sent via the Courier Guy within 72 hours at the latest. Of course, during peak season (anything between November and the end of December), it might take a bit longer.
No matter the product I order, whether perishable food items or a big table, everything arrives in good order.

The Courier Guy had a 100+% price increase on large parcels

The Courier Guy had a price increase the 1st of November. I have a small business, making toys and I have used them to collect my bales of ball fiber from JHB and deliver in Pongola. At the end of May 2024, I paid R762 for a bale of 23.1kg. On 19 November 2024, I had to pay R1625 for a bale of 21kg. This is a 100%+ increase from last time. I have contacted them with no luck at all. They say this is the price on their system and they cannot do anything. This increase means that I basically have to double my prices, which will kill my business.
