My wife and I flew from Kuala Lumpur to Doha, then Doha to Tbilisi yesterday. It was our first time on Qatar Airways and both flights were great. Excellent service from the onboard staff. The food was unexpectedly delicious. I would specifically like to recognize Antonia for her kind and attentive demeanor. This amazing young woman went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable on our second flight to Tbilisi. She even made my wife a special Baileys coffee. So nice of her!

I've travelled with Qatar many times from London to New Zealand, sometimes business class and sometimes economy. A silver club member for what that's worth.

I sent a complaint in and expected a r
esponse. Its now May and I've chased multiple times. Still nothing. Shocking behaviour. case reference:   CAS-44647-J1N7F5 ) CRM:0830000021491

Luggage from the overhead storage slid out while it was being opened by a cabin crew member. The luggage hit me on the face and caused swelling around my cheekbone. Qatar did not provide adequate assistance.

Upon contacting Qatar Airways, they made a false story and falsely accused me of opening the compartment.
Qatar Airways offered me a small sum of money in turn for taking full responsibility for the incident. Would not recommend this airline to anybody!

I have had no satisfactory answer as to why we were not allowed to board our connecting flight - despite the aircraft still being on the tarmac when we landed in Doha (Flight: QR 8 from LHR to DOH - 23rd October) We were travelling with 2 small children and it cost us both untold stress, 2 days of our holiday (50 hours of onward travel) and £503. I have all the documents, expenses and boarding passes for the extra flights we had to book last minute.
It has been over 5 months since they have replied and any further correspondence by me has been ignored. Even the fact they didn’t stock the children’s meals I pre-ordered and they went hungry on such a long flight doesn’t seem to bother them.
Think VERY carefully before booking with this airline - it will cost you!

Qatar IT failures - 'confirmed' bookings cannot be trusted

I made a reservation and paid 1200 euros using a combination of Qatar credit (from a legimately postponed flight) and bank transfer. The reservation was accepted by Qatar booking system and confirmed by email, with a Qatar booking and reservation number. I heard nothing more and assumed all was well. When I went to look at my account 3 months later, the booking was not visible. I contacted Qatar and queried this, to be be told that my booking had never been made - despite me having received email confirmation. I was refunded 152 euros out of 1200 euros as the date of the credit had passed by this point.

Qatar IT systems are not fit for purpose and customer service are not to be trusted - better to use Emirates or Turkish.

Comfortable and Smooth Flight Experience

I flew with Qatar Airways from Istanbul to Doha on February 2025. The aircraft was clean and the seats were comfortable. The cabin crew were polite and attentive throughout the flight. Everything went smoothly, from boarding to landing. I’m also a member of the Avios points program and have already benefited from some useful rewards. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service and would fly with them again.

More name than quality disappointing experience

I had high expectations of Qatar Airways because of their luxurious image and the millions spent on advertising campaigns
Unfortunately it turned out to be mostly appearance over substance because my experience was very disappointing

Netherlands – Doha
This flight started well friendly staff spacious seats free wifi and regular drinks and snacks were offered
This gave hope for a pleasant travel experience

Doha – Bali
• Strangely enough the seat space here was much smaller while the flight was actually longer
• No free wifi despite paying $10 it didn’t work
• The aircraft looked modern but the service was mediocre

Return flight
Bali – Doha
• The food was insufficient and minimal
• Cabin crew showed unprofessional behaviour came across as rude no apology offered
• Again no wifi
Supervisor came by to offer apologies for the insufficient meals and offered a snack

Doha – Netherlands
• My husband and I were simply forgotten during meal service after 30–45 minutes it was noticed but by then we didn’t want it anymore
Also here a supervisor came to apologise and still offered a meal but it was already too late
• No wifi

After a total travel time of over 15 hours including just a 1 hour transfer you expect at least a proper meal and service unfortunately that was not the case on both return flights

My suitcase got lost no response and not helpful they literally and figuratively don’t care

For the price you pay and given their reputation Qatar Airways is extremely disappointing
It’s all about the name but in reality it’s not worth the luxury not recommended waste of money

Still No Response After 4.5 Weeks – Feeling Ignored

It has now been four and a half weeks since I submitted a refund request to Qatar Airways after being denied boarding with my children. Aside from an automated email, I’ve received no response whatsoever.
This prolonged silence is causing serious stress and anxiety. I’m posting here in desperation, simply asking for someone to acknowledge my case and provide the assistance I deserve.

Refusing Chinese registration, refusing to refund tickets, and not offering compensation. Racial discrimination

My visa was in good condition, and I had booked my French visa and hotel at my destination. However, when I took an express flight to Paris at Tokyo Airport, I was rejected by the counter staff, who said I didn't have a return ticket and wouldn't let me buy a ticket. They also questioned me for a long time and told me clearly that it was because I was Chinese. It was simply naked robbery. After I complained through their website, I received a reply three months later, and the reply was very simple and templated. I was very angry. No refund, no compensation.

Cabin crew experience

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding an unacceptable incident involving one of your cabin crew members, Ms. Ankita Gupta, during a recent flight with your airline.

While traveling with my family, my 2.5-year-old daughter urgently needed to use the toilet. Unfortunately, both aisles were blocked by trolleys, leaving no access to the economy class lavatories. Understanding the urgency of the situation, I approached a crew member who advised me to proceed through the business class area to reach the lavatory. I then spoke to another crew member near business class, explained the situation, and was told to go ahead and use the facilities.

However, before I could proceed, Ms. Ankita Gupta began waving her arms at me from a distance in an extremely dismissive and disrespectful manner—as if I were beneath her. Her condescending attitude was both unnecessary and humiliating. I even said to the crew member beside me, “I hope she’s waving at you and not me, because that’s very disrespectful.” When Ms. Gupta finally approached, she did so with an air of arrogance, telling me to return to my seat despite the fact that I had clearly explained that her own colleagues had permitted me to proceed.

She then told me to “come back” so she could “sort it.” Once we returned to my original seating area, she silently closed the curtain and walked off—without any attempt to resolve the situation or assist me in helping my daughter access the toilet. At that point, I was furious and had to call her back, asking what she thought she was doing. Her behavior was completely unprofessional, dismissive, and showed a shocking lack of empathy or basic courtesy.

The entire incident was witnessed by other members of the crew, who apologized to me privately and expressed their sympathy for how I was treated. This is not the standard of service I expect from Qatar Airways, which prides itself on premium service and customer care. I felt humiliated in front of my family and was left deeply upset—not only for myself but for how this affected my young child.

I am not looking for a token apology or a few complimentary points. This incident deserves a serious response. I request a formal investigation into Ms. Gupta’s conduct, and I expect to be informed of the actions taken by your airline. No passenger—especially one with a child in need—should ever be treated in such a disrespectful and demeaning manner. I don’t think I shall be traveling with Qatar again neither will my family this was my first time doing ax trip like this usually it’s Emirates but not again!

I trust you will handle this matter with the seriousness it warrants and respond appropriately.

No longer a premium airline

Currently writing this before our flight. Our flight was delayed by 45 minutes and we received no email notification from Qatar. This means we are going to miss our connecting flight. Tried live chatting the agents but it says its too busy. Flown a few times with them in the last 12 months and the food has become disgusting.

No longer a premium airline. Dont pay the premium!!

Disappointing experience

They advertise as being a top airline, but unfortunately they're not better than any other, actually I found out that they're worse than many.
Long story short, I had had to cancel my Qatar Airways flight due to a medical emergency. I submitted all the required documents on line and on time, but after more than a month they denied my request without any explanation.
Interesting is that for the same special situation I receive a way better treatment from a low cost airline that offered me a voucher for the lost flight.

In time of crisis, a company's true values show - unfortunately, Qatar Airways failed that test completely.

Travelled to The Maldives from London…

Travelled to The Maldives from London Heathrow via Doha. Booked for a very good price at Christmas for flights in April. Food was very good. Luggage transferred seamlessly. Outbound flights were brilliant, inbound not so much. Toilets very dirty with urine all over the floors on inbound flight, staff noticed, pointed to it but did nothing about it. Star knocked off for dirty toilets.

Account blocked for over a year – No customer support at all

I have been trying to resolve a serious issue with Qatar Airways since April 2025. My Privilege Club account has been blocked for over a year, preventing me from accessing and using my accumulated Avios points, which are now close to expiration.

I sent an official complaint via certified email (PEC) on April 11, 2025, followed by multiple attempts to contact customer service via Facebook, Instagram, and another PEC – all without any reply or resolution.

British Airways (also part of the OneWorld alliance) confirmed that the matter is under Qatar Airways' responsibility, yet no one from the airline has responded. This complete lack of communication is shocking, especially from a company that claims to offer premium service.

I am now proceeding with formal complaints to Italian consumer protection authorities (AGCM and ENAC), as I’ve been left with no other choice.

I strongly advise against trusting Qatar Airways with your frequent flyer account or Avios points. Their customer service is non-existent.

Disappointing Check-in Experience and Customer Care on QR871

I flew Qatar Airways on 8 May 2025, Flight QR871 from Shanghai to Doha in economy class. My experience was frustrating and stressful.

The system failed to process my extra luggage request online for days. I contacted Qatar's Uganda office multiple times—they promised to call back but never did.

At Shanghai Airport, the check-in location was changed without notice. A fellow passenger had to show me the new line. After waiting an hour, the check-in staff treated me rudely. I had 9 pieces of luggage and was quoted a shockingly high fee of 1,890 RMB per bag. When I tried to explain my situation, the staff dismissed me and told me to leave the line.

A fellow traveler advised me to consolidate the bags, which I did, but I was still overcharged. They refused to accept Alipay or WeChat Pay from my friend. Thankfully, a kind staff member paid on my behalf after receiving the payment from my friend.

Just when I thought it was over, I was charged another 3,200 RMB for a 2kg overweight carry-on. I was humiliated and overcharged, while others boarded with multiple bags for free.

Worse, alcohol was served onboard—shocking for a Muslim airline. I didn’t eat for fear of being served non-halal food.

This experience has left me deeply disappointed in Qatar Airways' lack of empathy and consistency. I expected better.

Worst Airline and worst groundstaff

They are absolute shits. They have 0 accountability, 0 customer care. I travel with them regularly and have decided to stop using them as they are thugs. They treat everyone like cattle and pour money into marketing themselves as a great airline. They used to be a good airline 10-15 years ago, now they are worse than lowcost airlines and only care about profit, 0 consideration for their customers.

Silver Privilege Customer who has been completely ignored

I booked flights to Perth November 2024 Ref W7SR8B and paid for extra legroom seats Received notification in December that flight had changed and seats would be refunded. I had to go back in and rebook extra legroom seats for the newly configured plane and ended up paying €150 more for these. As this change was not of my making, I phoned to complain and was told customer service staff had no control over pricing and I should send email. I sent email complaining on 18th December and got reference CAS3267872 - D1W5K9 - CRM 0001001758440. Still heard nothing so emailed again on 18th February and did an online chat to be told that I must reply to the original email. Still nothing so I phoned again on 14th March and Agent said he would escalate case to the Digital Team. I got an email from them on 25th March. Still nothing so I phoned again and was told to wait 7-14 working days. I am Silver status Privilege Club member 536938682 and at this stage I cannot believe that not one person has reached out to me to deal with my complaint??? I really rated Qatar Airways, so much so that I have 3 upcoming flights booked with them but I am starting to have second thoughts about using them in the future if I cannot get a basic customer service.

Submitted a claim for damaged baggage 9 months ago. No response after many months. Escalated it to the CAA. Finally had a call from Qatar 'customer services' several weeks ago. Re-submitted all the info yet again. Then all quiet. How do they get the Worlds best airline
