My recent visit to Farmfoods in Milton Keynes was very impressive. I normally shop at Aldi but I have to say, I think I will make the switch. They have all branded items at really competitive prices and the staff were lovely. Yes, it's a no frills store, yes, they don't have a massive selection, however, to have branded items at a cheaper price - I'm in!

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

the staff in my local farmfoods are polite and freindly. shelfs always stocked up how ever the shop is getting mighty expensive now we used to buy the LA diner chicken fillets when it was 3 for £10 now it 3 for £15 so we don't bother no more we go to iceland now as there's still 3 for £10 not as good as farmfood but it will do as can't justify paying that much. farmfood used to be good and affordable not anymore 😕

Had to queue for over 10 minutes, as only one check out open There were.8 or 9 people in queue behind us. also waiting. Prices may be slightly cheaper but the customer service is zilch and last time we will use this awful company.

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

My local Farmfoods (Alloa) is o.k. with pleasant staff who always interact with customers which is nice, There pricing however has started to get ridiculous for some items to the point that somethings can be 60p more expensive than the likes of Asda, Tesco etc. Now yes everywhere is different and it's up to the customer to shop around but why is the dates on Farmfoods stuff so short ? There like the Wetherspoons of the supermarket buying short life items to try and make maximum profit. Also you gotta love when they sell paddle boards in a county that has zero facilities to use them. More idiots consumed by greed.

Disappointing First and Last Visit to Farmfoods

I recently visited Farmfoods after seeing promotions on YouTube that advertised great deals, so I went in with high expectations and even took a large trolley, thinking I’d be stocking up. However, the experience was nothing like what was advertised.

The store was shockingly small, cluttered, and poorly laid out—it felt more like a disorganized warehouse than a retail space. Shelves were half-empty, and the stock levels were extremely low. It honestly looked like the store was preparing to shut down. I ended up buying only a few items, feeling very let down.

To make matters worse, after placing my items on the checkout counter, a staff member came around and began inspecting my trolley in a way that felt rude and accusatory. It was an uncomfortable and disrespectful encounter that left a very bad impression. If this is the kind of customer service they condone, it reflects poorly on the entire company.

This was my first time at Farmfoods—and without a doubt, it will be my last. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. There are far better shopping experiences elsewhere.

Poor quality

Most of the Farmfoods own brand items are expensive unless you buy several at a reduced price. It was my first visit and I bought three bags of frozen flavoured rice. I tried one and threw most of it away as it was so horrible. I bravely tried the next, paella, same again. The third is going straight in the bin. They were such poor quality. I sha'n't go there again.

Hi Kathy

I'm sorry to hear about your concerns with the pricing of certain own brand products! Whilst we do have a range of multibuy offers available in our shops, we always attempt to offer good value whether items are brought individually or together.

I'm also concerned about the three products you mention. If you could contact us with the full product name, best before date and batch code, quoting 610353JC as your reference number, that would be helpful. Our email address is csteam@farmfoods.co.uk

I look forward to hearing from you.

I recently purchased a King Prawn Penang at Farm Foods, Basingstoke.

The image on the packaging suggested a colourful meal crammed with tasty morsels. The meal I received was an unattractive, unappetizing brown glutinous goo which I promptly served into the waste bin.

All product marketing and advertising in the UK must be legal, decent, truthful, honest and socially responsible. In this instance, the picture presented on the package was misleading and unrepresentative of the product.

I emailed FarmFoods and suggested the revision of marketing practises so that images of a meal accurately shows the product contained in the packaging. I have received no reply.

Unprofessional bunch of idiots searches…

1st odeal 08/11/2024 bought two large pizzas too large to fit in basket layed them over my shopping bag was outed as thief had bag searched told by a rude NIKKi it's what they do, contact manager apologises sending voucher as good gesture, vouchers never arrived.Latest 28/02/2025 had bag searched again by a rude NIKKI, contacted gorleston manager JAMES who basically called me a thief, so do not enter the shop with any other bags because although the manager JAMES says it isnt there policy they do indeed search your bags, AVOID at all costs.

TERRIBLE

As a disabled shopper last year I had a problem with gaining access to the tills as they are always stacked with products meaning very limited room. I spoke with the area manager Sophie Brown who helped with the matter. Shopping got better until today when I had to empty my two shopping bags and leave as could not get served. Called head office and the person I called just kept over talking me, interrupting me and refused to supply her name. The second person I called said his name was James and that he was in charge of customer services and loved talking to me like I was a 3 year-old. SO NICE TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS

blyth not serving customers until 11am yet it’s open from 9am & there’s now 15 people with shopping waiting especially elderly customers who after years of living here & shopping here have not heard from this rule by anyone it’s basically stupid practice as 24 hr tescos & asdas sell 24 hrs so farmfoods need to rethink their policy its nonsense to be kept waiting 30 mins on a Sunday morning

Bargain City :)

I don't shop at farmfoods often but when I do there's always a bargain to be found and for me this time it was a black and Decker drill and Sander combo with carry bag for less than £50 which I looked up was roughly half price. Always clean, staff are always friendly and helpful and it's always a pleasure to visit.
