Okay, not the worst and not the best.

I ordered on the 30th of December 2017, so naturally I expected delivery to be slower than usual due to new years. After about 8 or 9 days of no sign of dispatch, I emailed them to see if it was going okay. They replied within a day and then dispatched a day or two after. It took about a week to arrive (understandably with it coming from America.) However, because it took so long to dispatch in the first place, 2 of my most wanted products in my cart were out of stock by the time they dispatched it. They did however take that cost off my total. The gift with purchase was a biiit misleading, I was expecting the 5 products it showed on the picture, but it was only 3, and I really wanted the other two things on there. Overall... not bad. I'd probably order again if I felt like the wait. I don't hate it at all.

Bad service

Bad service.

Ordered some items 21 Aug 2017 20:48:26. I emailed them and said I wanted to cancel 22 August 2017 11:38. Customer support said they are unable to edit or cancel orders after they are placed. Within minutes, they marked my order as shipped. I refused the order but it was redelivered. I have to shoulder the cost of shipping back and guess what, they are not even in the UK. Now I am stuck with items I don't need. Terrible company to deal with.

Misleading website - NOT IN UK

This has happened to me three times now! Another company without adequate information about their location on their website! Gah.

Dispatch and delivery from US to UK took pretty much exactly 14 days (inc weekends), which would have been fine if I'd known before I'd bought where it was all coming from. So buyer beware, they are not in the UK, in spite of their UK domain and GBP prices! This could also make returns very difficult.

I'd never used ELF products before, and on the whole, I'm pleased. It's cheap and the brushes are good. I also like the way they have incorporated a sharpener into all of their pencil lids.

Their primer isn't great though - I think I'll be using Benefit or some other, pricier brand for that.

Another negative is the labelling on the packaging. The packaging itself looks lovely, but some pots are identical for different products. I have no idea which one is my eyeliner and which is my setting powder!

Missing item

So I was super excited that e.l.f came back online! Assuming they were trading in the UK which they are.. but shipping from america and waiting 4 weeks for my make up!! Which is quite ridiculous. My fault for not checking the delivery times.. but when my package finally arrived I was missing an item. A little annoyed that I waited all that time and I have an item missing...

Everything is always out of stock!!

I hate that they never seem to understand that they run out of products so quickly. I can never get all the products I need in one order and that is just frustrading and completely ruins the shopping experience.
Their US site on the other hand always has every product in stock, but I cant complete an order on the site because I'm from Denmark.

Great price

Ordered from E.L.F twice now, great price, ok and even so great products, but delivering is a little slow
– will likely order from there again, just too bad that some of the things always is out of stock

Great prices and products, not very good customer service but good company overall.

I have been a loyal customer to EyesLipsFace for many years and I will hopefully continue to be, however they're not without their faults.
I have purchased many orders in the past from E.L.F with virtually no problems, if they have a big promotion on and you place a fairly large order then you can probably expect delayed delivery and such, but it's to be expected.
The last order I placed went through smoothly, I received my order within the expected time and at first glance it all seemed great as usual, however I checked over my order later on and there was an item missing, an item I had particularly wanted, there was no note to say it was out of stock or anything so I had obviously still been charged for it. So I contacted E.L.F to see what could be done about it, this was over a month ago and I still have not had any reply from them.
Overall I like this company, the products are mostly good and the prices very appealing, however they could do to improve in some areas like their customer service, I would definitely recommend them but don't be surprised if something goes wrong, you get what you pay for in my opinion.

Lacking after sales service

I waited when they had sale to place my order which did not arrive, I was told to wait for 14 business days so that they could register it as loss or to see if the item would turn up which it didn't.

Now that they have logged a claim with royal mail they are refusing to replace my order saying that they don't have the system to resend order? We are in 2013 and you do not have the system in place to resend an order????

I am giving them a two star as this is the first time an item has gone missing and I will buy from them again but they don't have a customer care system in place.

I was jut told ''sorry you feel that way'' by the Lady I spoke today.

Bad customer care and selling and trading practices but they have great products.

Generally good, but a few issues...

On the whole, I like this company and all of my transactions with them have gone smoothly. Delivery and dispatch are usually quite quick, and they often have huge discount days.
The problem with this site, is firstly, the swatches of the products. It is impossible to tell what shade you are in their foundations, and even some of the nail polish swatches are completely untrue to real life.
Secondly, the quality of the products varies so much! You can buy a product, love it, then repurchase it and it will be horrible! I don't understand why they don't have better quality control. Even some of their more expensive products have problems. I bought a lipgloss from their mineral range and the packaging is so bad you can barely get any out of the tube! Not sure if I would buy anything again.

Not bad

I ordered a fair few products from their website for the first time, despite all the reviews of bad quality and their cheapness. Delivery was fine, no problems there. Payment was also hassle free. The only problem I have is that some of the products don't live up to their standards as they do online. For example, one of the products I ordered was to come with a brush, which online looked a reasonable size. So I had no reason to buy one seperately. When it came I was surprised to see that the brush is in fact tiny! Not at all as it looked on their website.

Fair.

This page is great for those of yous who want to save on makeup or beginners. I have experienced that the quality of the product variates: sometimes they are surprisingly good, and other times you get what you pay for. I would definitely not recommend this website to people with very sensitive skin tough.

Worth What You Pay

The great advantage of e.l.f is obviously the prices. You can get incredibly cheap products. Though the downside is some products look wonderful on the site but don't always live up to their standards. Some products aren't that pigmented such as lipglosses, lipsticks and blushes. Their nail varnishes are very good though and also their make up brushes. Their packaging is also very good. Over all if you remember what your paying and don't expect a mac quality product for under £5 then you will be pleasantly surprises. Just trial and error to find what products work for you.

Great website, good offers and good quality

Been buying from this place several times, they offer codes for free shipping or a 10 % discount reguarly.

Good packaging, shipped within 2 days of order placement, always received within a week of shipment.

Recommend them to all my friends, think they are tired of hearing about them by now.

ELF

I've only used ELF once and while the site is lovely, ordering was easy and i recieved the goods within 3 days I wasn't so impressed with the quality. I guess you get what you pay for but the make-up packaging is flimsy and the actual make-up isn't very nice at all. After actually trying some of their products i've decided that ELF is just overhyped as there are far better budget brands out there that i've tried, and that are much better quality for the same price. I won't be buying from ELF again.
